You weren’t the only. If my memory serves, there were quite a few draft sites that had him rated right around where the bengals took him. I have a particularly negative Nancy type friend who was ready to call him a bust several times during his rookie year. I told him we can’t make that call at least until his second season, after he recovered from the pec injury and got some experience.
Sadly he was right on that one all along. Damn ketchup bottles

Was it a little silly? Sure, but in no way was this street racing.
On the guesstimate from our other poster of 78 in a 40, so yeah racing. I’ve gone faster on and off a track, doesn’t make it right lol
I do think even 90 in a 65 is a lot different than 78 in a 40.

If Hendrickson is traded, it needs to happen soon. The Bengals need to trade Hendrickson before the draft so they can use the draft pick to get his replacement. Also, as soon a Hendrickson is traded, Im on the phone to Za'darius Smith's agent to get him signed. This way you have at least one proven pass rusher on the roster and dont need to rely so heavily on a rookie.

Yeah, you might sign them cheaper, but as soon as the next big deal is signed the players want to renegotiate their deals. Look at Trey Hendrickson. He was signed for what was a big contract. Then with 2 years left, he wants to re-negotiate because other DE's are making more. And now this year, with one year left, he wants to be traded. The league does not make players honor their contracts. SO you might sign a player like Chase or Higgins cheaper initially, but they are just going to want to renegotiate as soon as someone else is making more than them.
Cant say I completely disagree because it certainly does happen but not everyone pulls a Trey Hendrickson on their contract.

and more like the pick to me. The only question is if he can play FS and how Battle and him would fit as a starting duo IMO.
I wanted Ragnow too but Detroit snagged him right before us. I was happy to get Billy Price after that because he was good at Ohio State and he was also a projected 1st round pick right after Ragnow. The only thing I didn't like about Price was his short arms, that's why I wanted Ragnow over him. Shame he was a bust.

Yep, had the exact same thoughts at the time. It is a shame, I liked Billy too off the field, just wasn't meant to be a pro...
You would of never guessed this watching Billy Price with the Buckeyes. Short arms weren't his only problem, he had lots of them in the NFL.

There is some buzz New England might be trading for Micah Parsons. If that is true, New England is probably off the board for a Hendrickson trade. Hendrickson's options look more and more limited.

What is the source of this buzz?
I will say it again, Bengals do not want to trade Trey so everyone can rest easy, the only way they trade him is for a 1st round pick in 2025 and more. If a team wants to overpay is the only way the Bengals trade him. Bengals are in win now mode. I know many fans don't agree, but they trade Trey for nothing a real mutiny occurs.
Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

Yeah, Trey won't be traded. He will be back, just wonder what the details will be. Still wondering if the offer the Bengals gave Trey is still
on the table and if Trey could just sign it and be back here for a couple of years making twice what he was and looking for that SB win.

I think Trey's agent is a dumbass. He asked for an extension for Trey when he could not be extended and now has Trey test the trade waters
where he won't get any more than what the Bengals offered. Nor would the Bengals trade him for anything another team would offer for him.

Obviously if you trade Hendrickson you only do it if the compensation is right. We need at minimum a 1st + 3rd or 4th. You dont let him go for some of these ridiculous proposals like a 3rd round pick. Hendrickson's agent told the Bengals he could get the Bengals what they wanted. Its up to Trey and his agent.

I don't think so either. I think they restructure this year and add an additional year keeping Hendrickson here through the '26 season. If Trey and his agent are asking for a longer deal then things could go sideways. Regardless he's signed for this upcoming season and I guess if the FO wanted to, they could tag him next year. The Bengals are in the drivers seat when it comes to Hendrickson. I just hope they come to an agreement before camp starts in July.

Just saw an article stating he plays for Cincy in 25 or doesn’t play at all, and the team is set on getting a deal done.

That's not any sort of "news", that's just another hypothetical 'proposal' like the one I posted about earlier.

R. Wilson to Giants. Rodgers to Steelers just got more likely.
Also, Giants likely out on a QB at #3. NE is not taking one at #4, nor Jax at #5.
Sanders to Raiders at #6 looks likely, which means Jeanty oikely drops some.
Ward, Carter/Hunter, Graham + one of the OTs, plus Sanders look like the top 6.
One blue chipper for sure out of the top 10. I out Jeanty, Warren, Walker, the other OT of Campbell/Membou, and W. Johnson as the next best.
I doubt any make it to #17. We'd need 5 picks from outside that group. Stewart? M. Williams? Barron? A WR or two. Loveland? Green? One of the DTs? Booker?

Thanks for the update on Russ to the Giants Ike. That sure will look different lol
You don't think they would still take a talented QB to learn behind Russ? Seems like Shedeur would be the perfect QB to learn behind him.

Seems to me that the giants think the browns will take sanders.
But this would not preclude them taking a QB. We saw Kirk get a LOT more last year and a team still drafted a QB.
Sanders isn’t a day one starter and that’s ok.
