Your dream trade
#1
You're the GM you get to propose a trade to any team involving the first 3 rounds.

Name your trade

Explain the logic

Post your picks.

Trade: Cin tades 17 to NYG for 34, 65, and 99.

Logic: NYG picks 3rd and no QB worth a pick that high other than Ward, but they would love to jump back in the first ahead of Pit and get the #3 QB ( I think Sanders will go to LV). They are in Cap Hell, and getting a 1st RD QB on a rookie deal will help. With Russ in the building on a 1-yr deal they can bring Dart along. If you go by a "draft value chart" it's a wash

Picks:

34: Xavier Watts
49: Tate Ratledge
65: Princely Umanmielen
81: Shemur Stewart
99: Xavier Restrepo

Detroit trades Kerby Joseph & the 28th pick for the 17th Pick. Which is the value of a late 2nd RD pick according to the trade value chart.

Logic- Bengals get a premium defensive player and the Lions(who probably can't afford both Joseph and Branch @ safety) move up to get a premiere edge rusher or DT.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

I watched Draft Day last night for the first time. If you have not seen it, strongly suggest you watch it as it fits the theme of this thread. I saw it on Netflix.

My dream trade is a series of trades in round 1 moving back and adding 2nd and 3rd round picks.

We are on the clock and Sanders has slid and available. The Seahawks drafting at 18 want him and so do the Rams at 26. Rams cause Seahawks t up the ante. We get pick 18 and pick 50 from Seahawks.

Rams have Dart also as a target. They offer us pick 26 and picks 55 in round 2 and pick 127 in round 4. They get the QB of their future. Bengals traded because these guys were still on board at 18:

Campbell - LB
Green - DE
Harmon - DT
Pierce - Edge
Starks. - Safety
Emmanwori - safety
Banks - OT who can play guard
Nolan - DT
Booker - OG
Donavon Jackson - OG who can play OT

Due to injury, Campbell falls to us at #26 plus we now have three 2nd round picks and extra 4th. Iin round 2 we get another break as Donavon Jackson fall to us at #49. We grab Landon Jackson DE with pick 50, then grab Watts with 55. Round 3 and #81 we grab RB Dylan Sampson. #119 we get DT Pegues
and then #127 we grab a to 60 player who dropped due to off field issues Bond, WR Texas. In round 5, we get Tuten RB and in round 6 Kiser LB
Yes, a dream, but man I sure would love it.

Not quite the deal Costner pulled off, but maybe realistic. Sanders seems to be dropping and Dart rising.

2025 draft
Campbell - LB
Jackson - OG
Jackson - DE
Watts - safety
Sampson - RB
Pegues - DT
Bond - WR
Tuten RB
Kiser LB

Great idea for thread. We all need to dream. I could live with those picks for 17, but I really want Campbell and think he is long gone by 34, heck he may be gone by 17.

I do like the guys they would end up with here but not sure about taking 2 DE/edge rushers due to #s and playing time availability.
The plan has to be Trey playing for the bengals in 2025 so with Trey/Ossai/Murphy/1 rookie I don’t see a lot of snaps for anyone else.
Assume Stewart would be a development player for when Trey is gone.
They also brought back Cam Sample although he is strictly a solid depth piece.

My bad on that one. I meant the 3-tech from T A&M, not Stewart who will most likely be gone before #17

He may be a depth piece, but coaches were high on him prior to tearing his achilles. He may have put Hubbard on the bench earlier in 2024.

I love all these guys are fighting for a big contract. If one breaks out in 2025 from Murphy, Ossai, Johnson or Sample, our DL gets so much better.

I just did a sim and Traded down with the Ravens to get their 1st and 2nd rounders:

(1) FS Starks
(2) CB Azareye'd Thomas
(2) DE Bradyn Swinson
(3) DT Ty Robinson
(4) G Charles Grant
(5) RB Etienne
(6) LB Kiser

This would be my 'ideal' trade down scenario.

Got it and I didn’t realize where you had him going in the draft. If he’s still there at pick 81 then you take him no matter how many DE/edges you already have!

Was playing around in a sim just for fun and traded back with Buffalo in the first round. We ended up with the following picks:
