I thought they’d draft him in the 3rd.

If he is there at #81, trust me as someone who did a lot of mocks, 32 picks from 2nd to 3rd round is a lot and get worse in later rounds due to compensatory picks.

Even just pick up a 6th or 7th to move down somewhat. I sometimes wonder if they don't focus in a player that they are sure will be there when they pick.

I am somehow missing Marvin’s best player available

You guys knew they needed an edge (Hendrickson) and LB (Pratt)
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

He was obviously Golden's guy. Bengals have added 2 very fast players to their front 7

No, you trade down to later in the 2nd. Pick up even a 7th. You don't need to wait until pick 81. He may be a fine player, but pick 49 is early for him.

LBs are allowed to get sacks.

I have a hunch they have Risner, Scherff or Hernandez agent on speed dial.

Defensive Draft is fine. But when you pass on the best pure pass rushing DT to take a DE with the worst production in a decade when they're is better value a DE later than DT. Then you reach for a LB well outside of group that is currently being drafted when they're is value at that position later than it becomes a very big concern as to the competence of this FO.

What are the odds that the Bengals were prepared to pick Aireontae Ersery, the last true OT prospect that could move inside to OG, but the Texans sniped us and sent the front office into panic mode?

The guys at NFL Network Draft Central love the pick. Old School LB that will smack you in the mouth...

Maybe we are drafting low production players so Mike brown doesn’t have to pay them later. Is it true he rejected trading the akili smith pick for 3 first rounders because of that? Lol

I would say very low and I wanted him. The Bengals put pick in immediately, no hesitation and room looked like a guy they wanted at 49 and got him.

We could have gone Jihaad and then for one of the plethora of DE that are still on the board if we were going 100% defence.

They have shit the bed big time.

Golden is a linebacker guy so I can give the player and pick a pass but we need a guard. This team is starting to make it very obvious they don't belong.

I've seen him as the 120th ranked prospect on several sites.  We picked him at 49.  A 2 down linebacker that cannot help on 3rd down.  Holy absolute shit this was dumb.  Dumb Dumb Dumb.

It's looking like we replaced the d coordinator that took us to a Super Bowl with a guy that likes setting high-end draft picks on fire in an outhouse.  If Al Golden doesn't make this work, he can get garbage on his lawn a-la Carson Palmer.
