Worse draft in the Burrow Era
(Yesterday, 05:32 PM)NotBigzo Wrote: I’m 3/3 inn predicting draft busts  early pal.

3/3 is pretty good but when you considered ALL of the draft busts the Bengals have had over the decades, it does not seem that impressive after all unless you are like 15  or 16 years old.

now i wonder what % of drafts have been busts for them.    gotta be way up there.

yea but it'll be cheaper. and that is priority 1 for ownership

If this season doesn't go well then Duke needs to be fired and Katie needs to resign as the cap guru. The FO is a cancer to winning football!

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

That's a tough question to answer. At first glance I'd say the Ravens had the best draft and the Bengals and Browns might be in competition for the worst.

Browns are getting universally praised for their picks, and it’s not because of the sanders pick

I rather like the Browns draft.

I just can't look at this off-season after missing the playoffs with one of the easiest NFL schedules in 2024 and say "Now this is a playoff team in 2025".

I said it in May last year. What are they doing on the Defensive Line?

We may find that Stewart lines up on the inside more often than not with Murphy or Ossai at DE.

Stewart is the run defender.

Stewart on 1st down, then kick inside on passing downs.  Stewart may not finish, but he will beat his man and disrupt the passer and move him out of the pocket.

I wanted Lou out way earlier than you did I bet. Cheering for the hand you’re dealt. It’s ok, since none of us have an impact.

Albert golden has limited time to get Joe burrow a superbowl, that’s what we’re talking about. If he does it, great for all , if he underperforms like a Lou. Who has room for mediocrity.
Who is Albert Golden?

Best to worst... Cleveland (by a hair), Ravens, Bengals (by a hair over PIT), Pittsburgh.  There's a pretty wide gap between the Ravens and Bengals.

Worst, not worse.

Worse is for comparing two things. This was worse than that. Or, X was bad,,but Y was worse.

Worst is for stating how bad something compated to everything else. Nothing is worse than Y, Y is the worst.

Apologies for my Grammar Nazi post, I hate them when I mess up. But that one is a pet peeve.

They really want a good return On investment in the DL picks they made last few years. I can’t say they blame them, but it’s a big risk.

So as a Fan, I'm happy with that.  I'm glad we got Golden and I want Golden to get the players he feels fit his system.

I think ZT’s first Bengals Draft was his worst. A LT would was injured right off the bat (already peaked too, in my opinion), a TE with two left feet taken two rounds too early, and players that didn’t stand out enough for me to even remember their names to keep naming them. Their only real saving grace was Pratt.
