Like this pick a whole lot and so far the draft is going as I expected. Always thought the Defense would get rounds 1,2,and 4, with the offense getting 3, and then Bengals going to BPA from 5th on.

Would normally think BPA in every round but the Defense was so porous that Golden had to have been told he was getting early picks just to lure him here to coach such a bad Defense. Especially after focusing so much on the Offense in offseason even if it was signing their own.

Maybe I am way off base but just felt this would be the strategy. Although admittedly I know nobody with inside info and this is just what I would have done and may not even be their plan.

Yet think it's a solid pick and the Bengals have definitely had success with Georgia players before and giving up so little in the SEC is very interesting. Whitworth did similar in sacks given up in college in SEC as well except from the LT position. Believe Mims already being here will help in his transition into the league as well per already have a working relationship and probably a friendship with Dylan too.

Excited, welcome aboard Mr Fairchild !

I might take a RB but would still let Golden pick 3 more guys for defense.

Offense is set maybe one of the vet guards in FA after the draft.

I'm a big Fairchild fan brings some nasty competitiveness that the OL is lacking.

Brandon Thorn is the best OL draftnik in Media. If you haven't read or watched any of his stuff I suggest doing so.

Here is Thorn's scouting report for Dylan Fairchild.

Questionable processing skills against delayed blitzes, late loopers, and line games leave him a tick late picking up secondary rushers.

He’ll fit right in. Tongue

I do like the wrestling background though.

I rate this pick pretty good. Position of need filled by a really good prospect from Georgia. I don't think they could have done better in the 3rd for a guard, so there is that.
