Barrett is a good pick. I like it:
Sudden speed and closes on the ball like a ravenous predator
Frequently makes stops outside the numbers with perimeter range
Quick to key on blocking scheme and flow to appropriate gap
Able to slam on brakes mid-sprint to corral cutback angles
Broken-tackle rate dropped from 20.5 percent in 2023 to 10 percent in ‘24
Doesn’t have any trouble turning and running with backs on wheel routes
Tracks quarterback’s eyes to get his hands in passing lanes (21 career passes defended)
Rarely leaves the field (93 defensive snaps on the 2024 Pitt tape)
Was a regular on punt coverage each of past three seasons (360 career punt/kickoff coverage snaps)
Embraced veteran role in 2024 (defensive coordinator Wes Goodwin: “No one’s more respected.”)
Missed only two games because of injury during four seasons at Clemson (52 games played)

Last year it wasn't a strong DT class..we take 2 picks. This year it isnt a strong LB class we take 2. Does this FO like to draft in this manner??

It was mentioned last night, hard to move him as base salary in 2025 is 5.25 million.
But, we can hope for a trade versus cutting him
Or we bring him to camp and see if he learned how to tackle, if not cut him after TC
Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

I swear, half the threads I click on within this forum, regardless of the time of the year, has the same inane slapping war over whether fans should be optimistic or pessimistic or realistic or whateveristic.
Who cares.

5th or a 6th.
Thought Colts could of given up a 4th for him due to Lou.

Yeah it's all fun and games until you find yourself in the postseason facing nothing but qbs that beat you deep consistently.
Lou's defense was built to prevent big plays and create turnovers. It worked incredibly well with high-end safeties vs elite offenses. Not so much with lesser safeties and offenses that could run.
I think a defense like Al's might be well-suited for the division. Not sure it's going to play vs elite passing offenses.

Barrett Carter and Demetrius Knight are very similar prospects why take Knight in round 2 if you are just going to take Carter in round 4? It makes no sense.

Steelers pick Jack Sawyer. Thought they'd take a chance on Sanders there. His slide continues.

Despite what PFF says, Logan, the last couple years, has taken a lot of bad angles and missed a lot of holes.
Looks like anyone with a LB next to their name is on notice. Not surprising though. I thought Golden was more of a DL take up blockers and LBs make plays type of dcoord? At least i remember reading that somewhere a while ago.

Got to get more wins in division.... think Burrow can win shoot outs in the playoffs if it comes down to it.

I dont think its a coincidence that he had his worst season when they didnt have a borderline dominant run stuffing nose tackle

Or you could use a FS, if you have athletic LBs to cover TEs
