"This Guy Is Violent"- Micah Parsons On Stewart!
#41
He's gunna suck!! No his traits are elite and he'll be a stud!!

May on the message boards for ya.

I like the pick. He's disruptive and I'm hoping his athleticism and disruption help improve our pass rush and run defense as a whole.

None of us knows what will happen until it gets real in August/September so enjoy the summer until then! It's beautiful out. I'm going kayaking tomorrow.

So true and yeah it is beautiful outside alright. Too bad I have to replace my fence in my front yard, but will enjoy the beauty while I am working. ThumbsUp

If that player was not capable of getting into the backfield quickly and allowed the QB to constantly slide to that side, that might explain the lack of sacks. They won't be able to run away from Stewart with Hendrickson as RE. Whether or not Stewart gets home, he's going to be in the QB's face from the left DE and Hendrickson will be coming from the right. Add in a hopefully improved pass rush from Jenkins Jr. and I expect much better results this year.

I like the additions to the linebacker room as well.  We will have more depth - and I think whoever is the replacement for Pratt is gong to be an upgrade.   Pratt had a lot of good qualities, but his tackling was horrendous and he took a lot of bad angles last year.

And with a healthy secondary and hopefully the growth of Ivy we may have a much improved defense.

The other DE on A&M was Nick Scourton who a lot liked in the 2nd round, but he benefitted from Shemar's disruption a ton and I don't
think is near the talent that Shemar is. Agree, with Hendrickson on one side, Stewart on the other and hopefully a ton of growth from Kris
Jenkins we could have a very disruptive pass rush, much better than last year by far IMO.

Yeah, I'm kind of bummed about missing Mike Hilton blitzes though....

True, will miss that guy for sure. Loved Mike while he was in stripes, great blitzer and great tackler. He was getting beat in coverage a lot though
the last few years and he always was undersized. We will see how we use Dax Hill this season once he is fully healthy.

To me his blitzing against the pass and the run were worth the poor coverage.

lol No gators for me, thanks.

I like going down the river where the water moves a little bit so it's fun.

Stagnant water where I have to work harder to paddle isn't as fun.

Where did Hilton sign?

He would have been nice depth considering what happened to the position last year.

I hope so. I know he was degraded in pass coverage, but his blitzes are timed perfectly, he knows how to dissect plays and he is a great role model in the DB room.

I agree, sure would like to have Mike back especially for cheap since other teams haven't picked him up yet. His blitzing and tackling alone
would help and he would be a great teacher to the young bucks in the Secondary.

I think our lack of pass rush outside of Trey and our bad DT's hurt everyone behind them.

Put a pass rush out there and these guys all look better.

Another reason why I like the Shemar Stewart pick more and more every day. I know he didn't have the production in college but his lightning
quick first step, strength and quickness will be like night and day compared to what we had last year opposite of Trey. Even if he doesn't get
home, he will get lots of pressures and hurries right off the bat with his skills.

Hopefully the light comes on for Myles Murphy. Trey will be back. He won’t be happy but not mad. Trey with a good bookend could dramatically help our pass rush. Slaton is a run stopper deluxe. He also collapses the pocket. With Trey coming hard off the edge and Slaton collapsing the pocket the other guys should get some action.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Murphy has played a lot better when he has came in off the bench in Trey's spot at RDE. He gained too much weight last year, but he also just
didn't look right at LDE. Stewart can play either spot but to me looked better on the left where Murphy really struggled. Yeah, Slaton is a big NT
that can take up blockers but I don't know if he can collapse the pocket like a good 3-tech can. I know BJ Hill can at times and believe both Kris
Jenkins and McKinnley Jackson will. Slaton is a good run stopping NT, our only player really like him.

I don't expect to see Slaton in on passing downs much. That will be Kris Jenkins or BJ Hill or even McKinnley who shown he could get pressures
as a rookie. On 3rd and longs I wouldn't be surprised if the DL looked like this - Trey - Murphy - Ossai - Stewart
