Is Shemar holding out?

The FO has 2 jobs.
1. Putting together a competitive roster an coaching staff.
2. Putting the roster together financially to meet the needs of the cash flow and profit targets.

Most fans want to ignore number 2 or assume the Bengals are the only team with this issue. Yet, we have seen others like the Super Bowl winning Chiefs have a start player sit out camp and week 1 go onto win the Super Bowl.

This year we have 3 teams including us who yet to sign their 1st round pick, we have teams that have not signed non first round picks yet. Watt, Ramsey, J, Smith, McClauren and others missed manadory camps. I would argue most teams did not have 3 stars in the same year attempting to get deals done like happened to us in 2024 with Tee, Jamar and also Trey asked for a new deal.

So yes on the surface it appears the Bengals FO may be the issue and no doubt they are a huge part, but the 3 players and their agents also play a huge part, many are willing to give the latter a free pass and throw their frustartions 100% on the FO in my opinion.

Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

Yes, I know about everybody doesn't like relying on a rookie ever, but he could be a good one right off the bat and at the very least be
better than Volson. Not a high bar so he doesn't have a ton of pressure on him similar to Mims last season who did well as a rookie.

You don't have to have facts to back up an opinion or it wouldn't be an opinion it would be a fact. Indisputable, and nondebatable.

Agreed!!!

Opinions are subjective perspectives and beliefs which can be based on feelings, personal preferences or interpretation of facts - unlike a theory, which is based on repeatedly confirmed body of evidence (prospectively and/or retrospectively).

I have followed some of the recent discussions around Bengals FO on this board, and I respect both perspectives. Interestingly, I feel that at some level, both opinions intersect in terms of their intent - specifically; both want maximum amount of talent on our Team.

I am only stating my perspective on the subject of opinion, because I don't believe that we want other members on this board being hesitant about expressing opinions, for the fear of their opinion being viewed as less than equal to another.

the fact we have missed playoffs back to back seasons the slack front office has earned has been squandered and wasted

Theory fact or opinion - talk about whatever you wish.  My main point was to point out the "grey" about opinions even when using "facts".

Really last year we should have made the playoffs the year before almost did with major injuries just like SF missed this year. Injuries matter.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Injuries derailed ‘23 but ‘24 no excuses. But ‘23 Bengals & ‘24 SF strikingly similar. It happens.
