Trey Hendrickson Update
(Yesterday, 12:36 PM)Luvnit2 Wrote: If they sign Trey will you reverse course and thank the FO for going for it? I am curious as some like to harbor things to use later against the FO.

I say get it done too. If so, great job FO so we have every piece under contract and happily under contract.

You have got to tell me why it is so important for you to have people praise this front office.

You got to. I'll pay you, man. I just have to know.

Why do you hate Patrick so much and why do you want him to never play another snap in the NFL?

Dude stole ColtsFan's girlfriend after Jake Delhomme was done with her. That's just not right. Loyalty means NOTHING, nowadays.

Sure thing!

Once it happens, I'll be sure to write the following:

golly gee  thanks Katie and Troy for resolving something that should've been resolved either with an extension or trade a few months ago.

At first I thought this was referring to Patrick Mahones.

Welp. Back to work I go.

I will be happy they finally worked it out but once again they had to make it as difficult as possible. They need a fast start so they should have resolved this before camp to make sure they are ready to go.

Believe it or not I don’t hate the Brown family. I think they are good people who hold on to their vast amounts of $ a little too tightly when it comes to their team and doing whatever it takes to win.

They will always pay the QB but anyone else is like pulling teeth. We are not talking about just good players here - Chase and Hendrickson are all pros and they have both had long, drawn out negotiations over the last two years.

Technically this is not true…having a terrible plan is still having a plan.

Hey, Simple Simon, don't reply unless you understand the actual discussion at hand and who exactly is this "hendickson" person you speak of?

That is good news.

I get that Ford is a good team guy and very willing to play anywhere. And can. He plays everywhere at a mediocre level. And that has value. But he should not start. And really should not be the primary backup, either. OL8/9 is where he needs to be.

But, as the guy who has been here longer, I kinda get the coaches giving him the starting look first. But the longer he is with the 1's, the more worried I get.

Still way early.

But I'd feel much better with another starter level guy in the fold. What if Fairchild struggles?

I'd be thrilled if Patrick was a reserve. Both G spots. C3. Can fill in nicely if someone goes down. As a starter? He is like C+/B-.

Pappy Van Winkle is a bourbon. You can drop a couple thousand dollars on a bottle to flex your superiority over lesser beings.

Extending Trey & Chase snd bringing Tee back was the bare minimum they needed to do this offseason. On a team that is trying to win a SB, extending the best receiver in football and the NFL sack leader should be a no-brainer. Not letting Higgins go was also a pretty obvious move. Aside from Burrow, those are our 3 best players.

Keeping them gets a golf clap, not a thunderous standing ovation. Further, they waited too long to do each, and ended up paying way more because of it. And structured Tee & Chase so we took an extra $11 mil cap hit this year on top of it.

That $15-$20 mil (or more) could really have been used to help the team win. Another guard. Safety upgrade. Pay Fant. Calais Campbell. Likely 2 of those things if not 3. Or sllowed us to go big somewhere (G/S).

I guess foing the obvious thing IS a step forward for us. Or at least SOME of them.

2 sides to a contract, could Tre not make it easy and accept terms.itis to be a ram chair here since it's not our $$ that we are giving out plus he under contrat  feel like people forget that, we have him if we want for next years
