Bold Predictions for the 2025 Season
#1
Alright, the schedule has been officially released. We know who we play and when. I feel like now is the time to go on the record and make those predictions of anything and everything you honestly believe will happen this upcoming season. All I ask is that your prediction be realistic and what you actually think will happen.

My plan (which I'll probably forget after I hit "Post") is to revisit this thread periodically and acknowledge those whose predictions either came true or came dang close. I'll probably also "highlight" those whose predictions were the exact opposite of what happened (probably pointing and laughing like Nelson from the Simpsons).

That said, let me begin!

Boldest prediction: Trey Hendrickson will be on the field playing for the Bengals in Week 1 on a newly signed extension that will have been signed 2 days before the game.

Burrow's stats will not be as voluminous as last year due to our running game actually being decent and Zac calling more running plays, especially late in games we have the lead. Chase and Brooks will end the year being the best 1-2 punch at running back we've had in quite a few seasons.

No more slow starts as the Bengals roll to 4-0 to start the season before losing to the Lions.

Finally, the Bengals will go 14-3. I predict the Lions to beat us and Baltimore sweeping us.

Now, what do you guys have as your bold predictions?

EDIT: forgot one: Shemar Stewart will have more sacks this season than his entire collegiate career combined.

This is always fun.

Murphy and Stewart will combine for 15 sacks.

Trey will be extended priot to start of the season.

Bengals will roll with Volson, Patrick and Fairchild in camp. Volson beats out the rookie and goes on to be our best guard in 2025.

JB throws for 5000 yards and Bengals are the number 1 scoring offense in the AFC.

Our defense imporves to in the top 15 in points allowed.

Stewart wins defensive ROY.

Bengals go 13-4 and best record in the AFC securing bye week 1 of the payoffs.

Love it, Luvnit. Made me realize I forgot one I wanted to post.

Bengals will have a winning record after the first five games, maybe four. But that's as far as I can go in May.

Bold prediction? How bout I just say I predict I will be Bill Murray in Groundhog's Day because the Bengals will go 9-8 and miss the playoffs for a third year in a row.

I predict a similar year to last year. We either just miss the playoffs or lose in the 1st round.

I think signing Chase and Tee was good but it also started the clock on a 5 year championship window. The Bengals either failed to realize this or were unwilling to really push to capitalize on it. Our offseason moves scream 2 to 3 year rebuild for a legit championship run but most likely is gone in the Burrow era.

He needs some tp for his bunghole.

Here are my predictions.

A Trey deal is worked out.  He doesn’t have as many sacks, but he and Stewart do combine for sacks, hits, hurries, pressures and whatever other stat you can add than our ends combined for last year.

Al proves Golden.  The defense is simplified and they play faster.  They respond to a new voice and scheme.  In addition to point above, the interior d line is better vs the run.

The first two points combined allow the dbs to get more pass break ups and interceptions.  Not a ton more, but enough to matter.  They improve to middle of the pack defensively.  Maybe slightly better.

Knight makes us say Pratt who?

My boldest prediction is battle and stone prove the naysayers wrong and drafting a safety wasn’t necessary.  This one was a little tough to write, as I feel battle should have proven something by now.  But he did play better down the stretch and that continues this year.

Burrows numbers regress, they almost have to.  But we’re more efficient and the run game improves.  They don’t have to score 38 every week to win.

The season will hinge on the ravens, bills, ravens run.  I think we win one playoff game.

Injuries make all of these predictions null and void.

Bold Prediction. Bengals Win Super Bowl

Less Bold Prediction. Bengals win start of season for first time in a long time. They come in ready and win at Cleveland. That would be different from Bengals losing at Cleveland and next week in Cincinnati and starting 0-2 and putting themselves behind the 8 ball as they always do last few years.

A not so Bold prediction. Baltimore, Buffalo, Baltimore is going to be rough 3 games in a row for Bengals.

A not so Bold prediction. Bengals will find Super Bowl Philly and then Washington as very hard preseason games. Come in ready or have the stretchers ready, even in preseason these defenses will lay on The Hits.

Can this team be ready for a change and not lose the first game of season. I fear if they are not ready, Cleveland will clobber them off Lake Erie.
