The point is, there was a bad call and the manager went and got himself thrown out to make a point over that call. The point was already made. Job done.
What possible point at that time could Fraley make by getting thrown out arguing against a
correct call?... "Hey, remember how our manager told you to do a better job calling balls and strikes? Well I want to tell you to do a WORSE job at calling balls and strikes by getting myself thrown out arguing against a
correct call?"
It would make zero sense.
