Greene doesn't make a lot, relatively speaking.  Problem is, he gets hurt a lot.

Same for a Fraley and Benson, they are not everyday players, period.

53 million for 6 years, so 9 mil a year from a 77 million payroll, that a big chunk

These prospects they're clutching won't help, either.  Can't wait for Sal Stewart and Hector Rodriguez to be our next saviors.  We'll win a title when they get to Cincinnati and hit 230 with zero pop.  Just like all of them not named Elly.

Still an absolute steal for the caliber of pitcher he is.  He just has to pitch.  Doesn't bother me when they'd most likely be spending it on the Mosses, KeByrans, and Candy's of the world otherwise.  Wonder what Shogo is up to now?

Bases loaded and. Out, what are the odds they don’t score?

He never grew into the foundational building piece we hoped he would become after 2021, but he's still a net positive on the team. There's not a ton of quality catchers out there.

2025 MLB Catcher League Average: .242/.310/.396 (.706 OPS)
2025 Tyler Stephenson: .237/.318/.402 (.720 OPS)

1-10 with RISP. Maybe they should do batting practice with runners on base.

Agree, but if dude wasn't a catcher., he'd be just another guy.  That's the entirety of his value.

7 runners on base, last 3 innings with only 1 out, and they don’t score or advance a runner.

What happen to bunting and moving the runners up, not even once. It’s obvious they can’t get a base hit.

This is turning into a game of who can score without really trying.

Amazing how quick the air gets sucked out of the room by this horrific front office.
