So if it’s not his size, why do you think DJ Turner isn’t that good? So far, he’s not that good and a liability out there.

Medically cleared and being 100% are not the same thing. How many players are medically cleared and go out there playing hurt but not at 100%? Happens all the time. Just look at Hubbard and Wilson last year.

Bone injuries can cause arthritis at any age.

It can cause a weakened grip and there may be some instability.  Proper taping could help deal with that.  Other than those issues it’s a pain tolerance thing. A joint injection might help.  But yeah, while it’s going to be painful, a 22 year old professional football player should be able to handle it.

That makes Mr believe it may involve soft tissue such as a ligament or tendon tear which can cause issues of its own.

Every time they inject a joint, it weakens the structure.

He’s MVP of camp so far. You’re behind
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

I know he had a great day yesterday, not sure he was having great days every day. I hope he is great, but like Pally said he seems to be good or bad. He needs to be more consistent and more good plays than bad.

All CB's will have bad plays, it is the nature of the competition as WR's in the NFL will make the best cb's look bad. I thought Chase and Higgins both made Ramsey look bad in the Super Bowl, but he is a very good CB.

going on but Mims is my dude so I am very concerned. The only reason I wasn't for drafting him was because he never has had a fully
healthy season in his career. Seems like long enough time for a young guy to heal to me, even without surgery.

I don't get not having surgery on it when you have all the doctors and the money to do the best surgery possible. It isn't like me who
cannot afford it and I don't have medical insurance. I just have to be careful in everything I do, these guys get hurt all the time, it is in
their best interest to use all they have to help them heal as quickly as possible.

I didn't hear that...

Right?

Well the history of my comments about Turner were centered with EL Prez. I haven’t been Turner’s champion. I’m somewhat busting El Prez’s balls. He had his thread lamenting our off season. He didn’t give any specifics and I forced him too. He picked on DJ because he was too small. He said we should have looked at Byron Murphy (who resigned with the Vikings). Murphy is 5.11 too. 5.11 is not to small for a corner. Obviously length & vertical can help that. I was also busting El Prez because DJ has had a great camp. The secondary is suspect on this team. Drafting and development are the reasons. Hopefully their play in early camp means they are much better.

I am sure he isn't. But he IS healthy. He isn't hurt. Just like Seth McLaughlin here.

He probably would have to take it slow for a bit. But if Patrick has to start a couple games, I'm OK with that.

All will have bad plays but not all will have good plays, so at least he is getting the flip side of the coin.

I can't remember now if it was Zac, or Golden, but one of them said the other day that Turner was having flashes of playing great, but they needed consistency and not "flashes." It seems the day after that was the day he had five PBUs. I think he got the message.

Where are you getting the film and also the time to watch all that?
I don't have the time nor interest to go watch hours of snaps.
That's why I look more at stats.
Metrics, if good, should be able to give quicker gauge of good/bad without having to go spend a bunch of time doing my own analysis.

Can you provide some "clear film" for me please?
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. Ended 9-8 but barely missed playoffs

Changes needed to do better in Sept/Oct moving forward.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

It would be. Hopefully Mims gets it done now so he is ready for the opener, meanwhile Jalen Rivers gets a ton of valuable snaps through
out camp and Preseason to grow at RT.

Yep, bring Hernandez in and slowly bring him along until he is 100%. We all know that Patrick is not 100% right now and we don't want
Cody Ford starting at RG too much this season. I have a feeling Risner doesn't fit the scheme and Scherff is too old for the coaches or
something.

True, it is a good sign DJ Turner is turning the corner in a good way.

5' 11" is definitely not small for a CB, especially when said CB has 4.1-4.2 fyd speed. If they're gonna progress this would be the year for the young secondary. I read that Dax has been playing like a 1st rounder as well.

Umm…no. He had one very good day yesterday. Last week he was struggling mightily however, and pretty much on every clip of a WR having a big play. He said himself he needs to start stacking good days.
