Notes From Training Camp 2025
(10 hours ago)WeezyBengal Wrote: What on earth are you talking about? Pitcher didn't say anything even close to that. Yall are weird.

It was the impression I originally got from the clip of his interview. But yes after rewatching it he didn't say he wasn't doing that just that there are multiple things players do than just practice on the field.

I really do think it's that simple. Especially after Burton released the statement that he did.

That quote was all about context, and a lot of you guys (and the beat writers who just want clicks) took a lot of what Pitcher said out of context.

I just thought it was funny "Posts" was the first thing listed.

I'm pretty much in agreement on Jermaine Burton. Coaches have consistently said the exact same thing every single when asked about Jermaine Burton. He needs to come in and work and apply himself everyday. Not just Bengals coaches either Nick Saban said it the second the Bengals drafted him. For most of training camp so far Burton has been praised by thr coaching staff. Did they mention the talent or the plays he was making no... They talked about him coming in and working everyday and applying himself. The first "hiccup" what did Dan Pitcher say? Burton needs to work every day and apply himself.

I'm hoping just like every other Bengals fan that Jermaine Burton seen Chase, Higgins, and even Mike Gesicki make bank and want it too.

Even it Burton's "I was hurt" retort, he called his sistuation an absence. I wonder why he did that instead of saaying I was at the facility getting treament/ watching film, which Pritcher syas you can do if you cannot practice.

I'm not one to give this kid any benefit of the doubt and I hope the team does not either. Of course, my view doessn't matter only thiers

Seth McLaughlin is in with the 2nd team at center.

If he handles that job well, it opens things up to move Lee to Guard

Is Lee injured or just a look to see how does? Didn't we also sign a vet center?

Lee was injured on the first day of camp and has just begun easing back into practice.

We signed a center Andrew Raym who was with the Panthers last season  From all accounts he is not very good

BJ Hill is practicing...finally

i felt he got hurt on punt return on the tackle, i thought that when it happen and just seems logical now that is the issue

I thought he acted like he was dinged as well on the return.

The thing I like about him is he is not a small guy like some WR's. He could dish out punishment and run through arm tackles on kickoffs and PR's. His build kind of reminds me of Hines Ward, but a little taller.

We are going to play a lot of man defense this year and I am terrified that our corners won't be able to hold up.

I don't think any CB will hold up for 3.3 seconds or longer, skilled players are too good. It is up to Golden to get a solid pass rush with or without Trey. I am hopefuly we can get a better push up the middle, I think a middle push impacts a QB's ability to step up and also can impact ability to throw darts.

Seems like a day with a decent stuff coming out of practice. I like Tycen more than Anthony and hopefully he takes advantage if he gets more opportunity.

There's a good clip of Battle tricking Burrow into a pick but it won't let me copy it.

Well its Newton and hopefully we don't have to rely on him much. But another angle shows he missed the ball with his hand by a very small margin.

It was a nice play by Battle, but Joe was targeting Mitchell Tinsley so that was probably also a factor. LOL

He needs consistency
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.
