Noah Fant can and does play in a 3 point stance and split out as a receiver which is something the Bengals do not have and need. I don't think Fant is the blocker All was (not saying All was great either he was still learning technically) but he adds that 12p element and 7man blocking sueface and blocking in space that Chase Brown needs. He also has rhe versatility Dan Pitcher needs.

I like bringing in Fant. Chase is our #1, Tee is great but gets hurt, and I like Gesicki. Beyond that, I'm not sure our depth of guys who catch the ball is that great. I do hope Iosivas continues to improve and maybe Chuck comes out of nowhere to be good. Burton is a big shrug of the shoulders.

I mean I have to kind of disagree here...I think the WR room is one of the strongest rooms on the team. No team is completely stacked with depth.

That being said, I think our DBs are going to be a really strong group this year. Cam is going to bounce back, Dax and Turner were flashing BIG TIME right before they got injured last year. I really do think that room is going to be solid.

I don't disagree in the sense that we have a great WR room especially considering it's Chase and Tee at #1 & #2. Buuuuut, like I posted, Tee misses a decent amount of time. Iosivas shows improvement, but I continuously read he can improve his route running. Charlies Jones just doesn't see the field. I view a possible Fant signing as a just-in-case move to improve the depth for dudes who can catch the ball from Burrow.

Geiseki was admirable with what he did whe Tee was out last year. Don't forget about Burton too, he is more than capable of coming off the bench and being a piece.

Stacked with depth is one thing but plenty of teams have a better WR3. Unless Burton or Yoshi actually steps up it’s a pretty weak group overall outside of the big 2 tbh. I have little to no hope for Charlie Jones as a receiver.

Yeah, I said I like Gesicki in my initial post and who knows what we have or don't have in Burton.

and that weaker WR3 likely will have to step up when Tee misses time (although I'm hoping Tee maybe misses less time now that he got his contract and won't make a business decision to sit out).

I was a big Burton fan during and after thr draft (tape wise) but last year I don't think he and Burrow clicked. Joe is hard to play WR for because he isn't a see it throw it guy like the majority of the NFL. He's a read and throw it which ,means the WRs have to be exactly correct for him to trust them.

I like Newton as well. I loved Hilton, but to date he is unemployed so it appears Bengals knew more than me not resigning him.
I agree, our DB room can be very good in 2025.

Just for kicks, how many #3 WR's had more TD's in 2024 than Yoshi?

Numbers like that are skewed by the Bengals heavy passing attack. They pass more in the redzone than another team in thr NFL because they couldn't run vs thr condensed defense. Burrow had like 100 more passing attempts than thr second QB in thr NFL.

Sorry, I call BS. You want to ignore Bengals having 2 number 1 WR's and a great passing TE, but then claim numbers skewed for TD's.
BTW, Gisicki played in this same offense and did not get many TD's.
Maybe, Yoshi is very good in the redzone and JB knows he will be where he is supposed to be and why he gives him the opportuniites.
On a differetnt note, thanks for your thoughts on Fant and blocking, you obviously know more than than me technically. I hope we sign Fant today.

Now do yards. John Ross once had a 7 TD season iirc. That’s hardly a good indicator all by itself. Yoshi is good at scramble drills and in the red zone, but he needs to step up his game between the 20’s if he ever wants to be more than a WR4/5 type option.

Andrei received more redzone targets because there were targets most teams rush vs condensed defenses in the redzone until forced to throw. Bengals are the opposite.

It’s top heavy, not strong. Same story as last year. Unproven and completely betting on upside/growth. Someone like Keenan Allen or Amari Cooper would make it stronger. Maybe they are a bit older and slower than someone like Iosivas, but they can make the contested catches and help move the chains. I still feel like Iosivas mostly lives/dies on extended burrow plays.

When your QB throws for that many touchdowns, they are going to go somewhere.
Iosivas had 36 catches on 61 targets for 479 and 6. 4 drops.
Jaylen Mcmillian had 37 catches on 58 targets for 461 and 8. Also 4 drops.
The Bucs have Evans, re-signed Godwin, and still invested a 1st round pick in a WR.
