Awesome! Can't wait to read reports of him puking in the heat and getting carted off from muscle cramps.

So basically they moved up 500K of his signing bonus and paid up front. About as close to nothing as can be - basically they did it to let Stewart and Hiller save face.

Kudos to the braintrust for getting this done with minimal down time for Shemar. Now get out there and work your ass off young man and get the QB on the ground!

*sigh* it wasn't just the language...

If you impliment the language, you have to make concessions on the percentage of how and when it's distributed.

We are not the only team using this language. Other teams are using it this year. I don’t blame the owner of the team for that. It’s kinda petty that it came down to 500k upfront and the language stayed. What the hell have they been doing this whole time.

Happy to see he signed and now the conversation can be about his on field play.

Fingers crossed Trey is soon back on the field.

100% correct. The bengals won the stand off. Shemar caved in.

Anyone think the league will try to do something to move away from “guaranteed” contracts. It’s kinda getting out of hand.

500k more upfront versus December? His agent looks foolish. You could see it coming in rookie camp. He was trying to say he stood up to the Bengals
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

To be fair, those guys are all experienced players with no history of off the field drama.

It takes two to tango. If the Bengals wanted that extra default language a la many other teams they should’ve been ready to pony up more upfront bonus money a la many other teams. Refusing to pony up that signing bonus while asking for increased defaults cost the front office. The agent got Shemar more bonus money upfront as is the usual way of things.
