I thought that sounded kind of familiar when I posted it.  I don't really follow sports outside of the NFL.  Plus the one time I tried to watch Australian football everything was upside down.  

I was thinking maybe it was something like that show I think from the late 80's American Gladiator.  Thinking of that.  Bring out the pugil sticks and let the kicker face the opposing team's kicker to fight for the right to party, I mean attempt a field goal.  Sports betting would love it.   :)
