Geno Atkins was 30 we paid him and he was done for. I bet I can come up with a lot more examples of pass rushers who flamed out after 30 than he can that succeeded after 30 lol.

It’s worth the risk to roll the dice when you have a Joe Burrow. If ever there was a time to go all in it’s now.

Well, he certainly missed the Wisdom of Solomon on this one. Whit was an outlier, not the norm. There's a reason most players in certain positions don't get much after they turn 30. It's because they do not produce much.

If they guaranteed year 1, and made years 2 and 3 incentive laden, I would agree. I do not want three years of guaranteed money tied up in a 31 year old Defensive End on the backend of his career.
