Williams just didn't fit Rex's scheme. He didn't handle it well and now the Bills are making the smart choice.

As to "Super" Mario, just further evidence of why you don't give up the farm for one guy when you're still ten or fifteen guys away. I'm also talking to you, Miami.

I don't know what this guy did specifically, but high-profile players on bad teams really are damned if they do and damned if they don't. If you complain about losing you become a "cancer" and if you just ride it out and keep your mouth shut then you're "just in it for the money" and "don't care about winning."

Winning makes everyone look like a better leader, or teammate, or better player while losing does the opposite.

He complained that the scheme was not good. Which is a shot at the coaches. And you cant have that on a team . There is a story on NFL.com about a bills players saying Mario quit on the team basically.

Is the scheme good?  The Bills went from a top 5 defense to somewhere in the 17th range thanks to Rex's system.  I'm not saying Mario couldn't have been more diplomatic about his criticism, but the guy is right.  The changes have been for the worse and the team is suffering because of it.

Buffalo took a step backwards this year, and that's really saying something since last year they were employing QBs that are benched and/or retired.

It's just a system where your LB's get the stats . And the Bills were used to a system like we run, a DL based system that highlights their play.    Which schwarz runs....   Rex needs his guys and in his system the  DL just take up blockers and allow free running LB's.     Look at who gets the stats on Rex's defenses through the years.   Very rare to see a DL dominate except for the run.

What people discounted was the LB's. He traded Kiko because he was slight.

Rex probably should have stuck with the 4-3 until he had the proper talent to run his system.

I know it's all ego, but it's very silly that coaches keep trying to put square pegs into round holes.

So Rex Ryan came it and made things worse?  So if the Bengals fired Marvin and hired Rex Ryan, who THEN went on and screwed up our defense, and Geno Atkins said "this scheme sucks" you'd tell Geno to kick rocks and go play for another team and/or shut up?  I hain't buying it.

You can't have players questioning the coach and system via the media. So if Geno did that then yes he would need to go.

Maybe buffalo's owner shouldn't have hired a guy who runs a system that isn't seamless to their current personnel. She messed that up herself.

Meh, players aren't just pawns to be tossed into the fire as the coaches and owners wish.  Plus, you don't seem like the type of person who really believes that it's wrong to question incompetent authority.

Don't have an issue with questioning authority. It's the manner it's questioned is the issue. The way he did it does not help the team or hos teammates. He puts everyone in jeopardy. He should be a professional and question these things behind closed doors. It's not the publics concern.
