Not sure I buy it, because it certainly doesn't seem to work for Marvin Lewis....but I was tickled at the way that Jason Whitlock sums Tomlin, his coaches....and the players up.

I'm not sure if his skin color matters, but when the AFC North HC's all get together to drink 40s and smoke black 'n' milds John Harbaugh is going to look out of place!

He is right. Everyone is scared of being called a racist.
Difference between marvin and Tomlin is the owner. Rooney forced his ridiculous rule down everyone's throat and continues to pretend he is relevant. Mike just sits back and minds his own business and runs his team and allows others to run theirs.

Looks like to me it's pretty clear. Tomlin looks like he's poised to play the race card and Marvin isn't.
Liberal media scared to death of the race card!
People have lost jobs and reputations just being 'accused' of using the dreaded "N" word. A word blacks use all the time!
Don't bring that lame excuse about context. I find the 'F' word offensive regardless of the context!

Difference between Marvin and Tomlin is integrity.
Marvin tries to win by the rules.
Tomlin tries to win by circumventing the rules.
Proven time and again.

If a white guy would have written that article, he would be out of a job, a labeled racist for life, and may face legal charges from Tomlin.

he's the Steelers HC.
Because of the Rooney Rule and the perceived belief that Rooney is a saint for it, that team just faces less criticism for harsher offenses than other teams do for less.

I guess you'd have to take a hard look at coaches that have been allegedly treated harshly by the league and stack up their transgressions against Tomlin's.
I still believe that his most egregious violation was interfering with Jacoby Jones. I think he got off pretty easy on that, but I suppose you could call it a first offense.

I now believe it was the actions of his coaches in the game vs the Bengals. They became participants in the game on the field of play, physically put their hands on our players, pulled their hair, bumped into them, incited and cussed at them. I believe this was all part of their game plan and it worked perfectly once the refs calls were inciting the crowd and our players. All of these mentioned are against the rules.
Tomlin is the head coach and is accountable for all of this garbage and it is a reflection of him.
Dude has zero integrity.

So you find it offensive yet you are upset that people get in trouble for usingit? I have neevr heard of a white person getting in trouble for using ****** in a non-offensive manner. the only time they get in trouble is when it is used as a slur.

No he wouldn't. When has anything close to that ever happened? Cam Newton is getting crucified by some fans for no good reason. I have heard more than one white analyst claim that Cam is getting more flack because of his race.

Some people would complain about getting hung with a new rope. Tomlin gets away with stuff because he's the Squeelers hc and for no other reason. I have zero problem with teams hiring minority coaches or players being that the minority of players are not minorities, but the claim that he gets away with whatever merely for being black is ridiculous. It's like saying black people don't go to jail because they're black. Prison statistics will tell even the dumbest of the dumb just how bogus the claim is. What's next? You didn't get the blue tricycle for Christmas because some black kid did? Ok then.

It is not because he is black. It is because this is the Steelers we are talking about. NFL.com posted our players tweets after watching the scum lose to Denver. But I never saw them mention once that Steelers players were dancing on our logo at midfield while Gio was laying on the field unconscious. And they never brought up the fact that Joey Porter jumped and assaulted a Bengal in a casino yet they brought up Burfict's past transgressions.

I agree. Munchak's involvement makes me think it's possible that something came from the top. He's never really been known as an over-the-top kind of coach. Porter, on the other hand has been a loudmouth since his first day in the league. I don't think he needs encouragement from anyone to start shit.
The other interesting aspect is the alleged Gilberry bounty stemming from Todd Haley. If anyone ever came out of the Steelers locker room to corroborate that rumor, then the league should hammer them just as they did New Orleans. Gregg Williams was pegged as the primary offender in that case, but they still nailed Payton to the wall for it. If there was a bounty on Tomlin's watch, there should be serious consequences.

X2
Steelers have more playoff and Super Bowl wins than any other team and they are the symbol of "hard working, blue collar, football fans".
The league loves them because of their success and what they (supposedly) represent.

I believe that game was an eye opener to alot of people and other teams in the league.
They saw the same thing we did and heard the same spin. That game was so ridiculous that I don't think they fouled the national audience this time.
I think the Steelers are starting to be seen for what they really are. We just need to do our part whenever we get an opportunity.
Who Dey!!!!
