Message Board All-Time Team (Oline)

There is really no competition at the bookends, so we go ahead and award:
LT- ANTHONY MUNOZ (We only have 1 Bengal Player in the HOF; but he is the best to ever play his position)

RT- WILLIE ANDERSON (12 year starter, 4 x Pro Bowl, 3 x All Pro)

Interior Oline (Vote 1 from each)

LG
DAVE LAPHAM
(105 starts in his 10 year Bengal career)

BRUCE REIMERS (108 games in his 8 year Bengal career)

ERIC STEINBACH (only played 4 seasons for the Bengals, but he was considered one of the best at his position while here)

C
BOB JOHNSON
(1st ever draft pick played 12 seasons for the club. AFL All-Star as a Rookie)

BRUCE KOZERSKI (Played in 172 games in 12 year career. 3 x Pro Bowl Alternate)

I was going to go with Kozerski or Johnson but i never watched them play so i went with Braham.

He was a fine Center for us and we really haven't had one since.

Zeitler might end up being the best but he has not reached that level yet. Pay the man and we will see!

I wonder how many people are going to argue that you should have put Whitworth as a LG Mellow

I went with Reimers, Johnson, and Montoya.

Johnson/Kozerski was the only close call, in my book.  I almost selected Koz'.  I felt compelled to show some love to the first Bengal ever, who also went on to play 12 years, in an era when a lot more dirty play went unnoticed in Lineman play.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Reimers, Braham, and Montoya. Was not a real hard decision as far as I was concerned. Koz was a tough one to leave off as he was so versatile along the O Line. I could see voting for Johnson being the first draft selection but I think the three I voted for absolutely earned it. Braham was arguably the toughest center we have ever had.

I would guess only those that do not understand that he is a top 5 active LT.

Lol, apparently some folks didn't understand how the poll works.

A quick glance at the vote totals to this point shows that 17 folks voted for an all-time Center, 16 cast a vote for an all-time RG, and only 15 made a selection for a LG.

Braham and Koz are all tied up at Center. Need a few who haven't voted to break the tie.

I was thinking the same thing.  Reimers was one tough dude and Montoya never should have been allowed to leave.

I had the same difficulty choosing the center.  I knew I'd regret whatever choice I made - not because they weren't good but because the other one was just as good or better.

Went with Kozerski, but I would have been just as happy with Braham.

Perhaps the best College Center to ever play the game; unfortunatly for us, an average Center that only lasted 5 years as a Bengal

I love Richie Braham, but he was not as good as Johnson or Kozerski.
