Summer Rental (1985).  He plays a burned-out air traffic controller whose forced to take a long vacation, so he brings his family to Florida, where things get complicated.  It's got some schmaltzy parts, but also has some good laughs.  Saw it at a theater when I was a teen, and I just watched it again the other night.
