Lamur to Vikings
#1
Tweeted out and retweeted by various Bengals writers.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

He already re-signed with the Rams. Want to laugh? Look at his new contract.

Good news alright. Maybe Zim thinks he can get something out of him?

Lets Draft a decent LB/S that can cover... Lamur was trrrble. We can get an upgrade easily.

A huge mistake was putting Lamur at SAM.

I never liked Lamur. People said he was athletic and could cover. I never saw it. He seemed to lack crucial football knowledge to play his position.

Glad Zim took Lamur instead of Vinny Rey.

Why not take both?

Both can be upgraded with PS guys, as they were both that (or a semblance of that) in their careers...

I actually like Vinny as a backup but i bet Haslett will probably want a few new guys of his own in the Draft.

Not like we don't need more competition at Linebacker.

Outside of the games where he made Flacco look really bad he didn't really do much of anything.  He seemed to have a huge problem with angles/tackling  Sick I'm with you on this one.

Spotrac is saying 2 years 6mil. Our offer to Vrey can't be more than that.

Believe it or not, Lamur gives the Bengals a nice parting gift:

He contritbutes to the FA compensatory pick calculation. Don't laugh, he got more money than Newhouse, I believe, and Newhouse might yield the Bengals a fifth rounder this season.

And in 2017, the compensatory picks are tradeable.

Can you imagine if MLJ, Andre Smith, Sanu, and Lamur end up yielding the Bengals two third round selections? That would be incredible. Not sure if re-signing Jones and Ilkoa count against the number?

Damn, Mike Zimmer is so clueless.  Paying good free agent money to a guy who was no better than all the guys that no other team in the league wanted last year.

Just think how great the Vikings would be with Truck running the team. Smirk

And think of what a genius Guenthar is for producing a top 5 defense in the league with one PS level guy playing two-thirds of the snaps on defense and another playing a third.
