What pick(s) would surprise you (in a good way)?

That would have been fine if that is what you said.  But instead you gave what you called a "grownup answer", and it was completely false.  You claimed that the Bengals only used mid round picks on D-line, and the facts show that is not correct.

And I also remember how the Bengals would never use a first round pick on a TE or OG.

Under Marvin Lewis, the Bengals never used a 1st round pick on any defensive lineman.

They've used first round picks on quarterback, offensive line, cornerback, tight end, wide receiver, linebacker, and running back.

There's just speculation that the Bengals might just wait to take a DT like they normally do. And it's not that far fetched to believe either.

2) Free Safety....we just don't tend to value it highly in the draft so whilst Iloka / Williams are pegged as starters I would be surprised but actually quite pleased if we drafted one high'ish

3) Kicker ...again a draft pick on a kicker would be a surprise but I've got a creeping feeling that Nugent is gonna flame out at some point so may be nice to invest a pick...the Huber pick worked out great

Some may disagree with me but i would be pumped if we drafted the top kicker in the 3rd this year. That guy is a unbelievable. Next Janikowski. Nugent just isn't the answer, maybe better than shayne graham, but we need to upgrade.

Either Clemson end, Mackensie Alexander, or Billings in the first.

A top DT or C in the first 3 would be surprising in a good way as well.

Surprising: Ryan Kelly, C in round 1.

They never used on on a TE until Gresham.

And they never used one on an OG until Zeitler.
