Well our 2016 comp picks will be better. When losing Marshall Newhouse was your biggest loss. You can't expect much in the way of comp picks. Next year will be a haul. And with them being tradable that makes them even better. I think we could offer up our picks in next years draft if we want to go up and get somebody this year knowing we have some extras coming next year.

Marshall Newhouse was the only one that could have gotten the Bengals a comp pick. It was not enough to warrant one based on the FAs leaving from all the other teams.

Next year's draft should result in at least two comp picks. (At least) one should be a third-fourth round pick.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Read that Jones/Sanu will likely be a 4th and a 5th.

Normal FA they'd probably have a good shot to be a 3rd and 4th, but in this FA Jones' $40m deal was tied for only the 10th highest contract among players who went from one team to another this offseason. Even once you start cancelling out some of those players with the team's additions, Jones isn't going to get in the 3rd round pick territory.

So think 4th and 5th, which isn't highly impressive when you realize that those picks come at the very end of the round. They'll basically both be late round picks, which is why refusing to improve your team to get a couple late round picks is such a silly idea.

Yes, I read the same about Jones and Sanu being a 4th and 5th. However, Smith and Lamur will also be factored in, which could result in a third comp pick or boost the value of the two comp picks. Reggie Nelson and Leon Hall could also factor into this if they sign elsewhere.
