At the same time the Cubs' post game crew just posed the question, "Was this the most complete win in Cubs history?"

I couldn't be happier for Jay. Says alot about a player who comes back from a not so good season and is tearing it up.

Cozart is another pleasant surprise so far, at least offensively.

Maybe it's just me, but these no-hitters are becoming routine.. 16-0? Wow.. Hard to believe that we're not in dead last place. It ain't saying much about the Brewers..

I'm trying hard to keep some faith, but it's quickly beginning to look like the Reds are gonna be what everybody said they were gonna be - a bad team.

It's still very early, I hope they can find some magic somewhere.

SOME magic? They need more than just some magic. They need every other team to just fall apart, perhaps death to not keep losing..
I know! Management, ownership and players who know something about baseball.

Hoover can give up 2 runs an inning and lower his ERA. Just saying.

Right now they are a .500 team.

I thought they would be worse than that.

This is fair. I mostly believe in the phrase "you are as good as your record says you are", or however the it goes.

On the other hand, if I had a lot more money and the grapes to wager it, I'd bet they don't finish anywhere near .500.

With Simon pitching today at least I'd take the bet they finish around .250 for the season..if that.
7 runs in 2.x innings.. CLEARLY they're in desperate need of pitching..

With coming in dead last for a few years one might think they could stock the minors so deep they would win for 10 years, but they just don't have the ownership nor the management willing nor able to pay for the top talent and keep them.

Bullshit.

Look at the contracts Phillps, Bailey, and Votto got.

Hoover is a fitting name, cause he sucks.
