Bengals did not put a waiver claim in for TE Tim Wright
#1
I guess they have a lot of confidence in what they currently have.

No chance they would have been awarded him. The fact they didn't even try speaks volumes to the current crop of TE's

They got their #1 ranked TE in Kroft. Eifert on the mend. They got Uzomwa and that guy Murphy.

drafted 2 TE.
Murphy has been showing up.
have several UDFA who have apparently shown some skill.
Hewitt should be getting looks at TE

Crowded at TE right now.

Wright is basically an oversized WR, not what the Bengals were looking for to compliment Eifert anyways.

the fact the Pats cut him after trading Mankins for him...

Just role with what we have... Eifert and Kroft.

Hewitt and the Udfa's All young and hungry. Not much experience but young and hungry.

So it seems you've changed your stance a bit since last week.  Smirk

As for the Pats cutting Wright, it doesn't mean he's not a good player. Considering that they picked up Scott Chandler (6'7" 270 lbs) in FA and Tim Wright is only 6'4" 230 lbs, maybe they're changing their plans a bit this year. Wright has good production in his brief time in the league. He's just a bit small for the position.

Besides, the Pats also got a 4th round pick out of that trade, so maybe you're reading too much into the Pats cutting him.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.

Not Really But Wright doesnt add a lot of experience either.... but would be the most experienced on the roster i think.

But it doesnt matter cause the bucs picked him back up. So hes off the table.
