What are Some of Your Hobbies Outside of Wtaching Sports?
#1
Simple enough question. Curious to hear what some of you animals do for shits and giggles outside of being a sports fan.

I suppose I should go first. My biggest hobby is playing the geetar. Huge dog guy, got two (Beagle and Lab). Pretty big movie fan, although perhaps not as much as I used to be. I still watch a movie or two a week though. Like most people my age, I was a huge video gamer growing up. I still play occasionally but it's becoming less and less. I'm getting more into reading as I get older but I go in spurts. I think I read something like 35 books a couple of years ago, but last year I may have only read 6 or 7. Other than that, I enjoy crushing ***** and chewing bubblegum. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

Internet porn. Does anyone really have any other hobbies?

Seriously, I like to read, walk, spend time with my dog, listen to music, write occasionally, and hang out at pubs with old friends and new ones.

I'm a huge dog guy as well so anytime spent with her is well spent. I also spend time being a graphic artist as a hobby. Ill mess around with music production from time to time but I haven't made any songs or anything. I'll play video games if something catches my interest or I want to replay something for nostalgia sake. I also can juggle.

I'd like to get into glassblowing though.

I train for and compete in Strongman competitions. I also host events, and serve as the NC State representative to United States Strongman, one of the two governing bodies for amateur strongman in the US.

Protest. I like expressing my disconcern for things around me in t-shirt art, posters, or even dressing up like a skull guy. Kids love it. I even do face-painting for charity events. Lots of face-painting...

What are your thoughts on all of the 5x5 programs that seem to be so popular?  Specifically for a late 30's guy that's just trying to stay in decent shape.

5x5 programs are good, just keep it to the primary exercise.  You'll want a little more volume on your assistance movements.

Of Note:  5x5, or any program will work well, so long as you follow the program.  Also, programs are typically done in 6 or 12 week cycles, as the body adjusts to what ever you are throwing at it.

For instance.... There is a pretty cool blue Grass band playing at a county Fair not far from here.... Can't go.

Keep it in your pants fellas.

Thanks for asking!

Since I do less writing at work now, I spend more time doing it when I'm not at work. I try for at least an hour a day outside the office.

Other than that, big into movies (sci-fi, historical, anime and comedy, mostly) and games, mostly the Xbox, but I still like tabletop gaming when I can find people nerdy enough to participate. Big into archery and I'm trying to learn more about setting up bows and making my own arrows (recently got an Infinite Edge because it's pretty adjustable, which I figure is a start toward setting stuff up). And since I work a desk job and I'm nearly 40, I've gotten into going to the gym/jogging in the last year or so. It's actually kind of fun. I used to volunteer for civic stuff, but that's more of what I do for work now. Oh yeah, and I like to cook. Pretty decent at it, too.

I was a single dad when my daughter was under 5. Just take her with you, but plan on leaving all things early.

I collect sports memorabilia and coins. Mainly silver.

EDIT: I forgot fishing, and some gaming. And this spectacular Board, too. Actually, I spend more time here than any of the other stuff.

I'm a big dog guy as well Toast. Our St Bernard died almost a year ago, but we may be getting another one soon.

As far as personal hobbies, I love to fish...bass and catfishing in particular. I got addicted to fishing as a kid and never grew out of it. I also really enjoy working out. I try to get in a good workout 4-5 days a week.

Apart from my regular job, I also make money on the side doing artwork and tattoos. Even though I earn a second income from it, creating artistically has always been something that I would do just for the love of it.

On the rare occasions when I actually score some extended alone time, I enjoy consuming large amounts of alcohol and 'researching' Kate Upton videos!   Wasted

I enjoy watching my little Aussie go nuts watching the squirrel eat corn.

Never knew a squirrel could cause such excitement...

Golf, videogames, motorcycle riding.

I don't really have any these days. There are things I would like to do, but I am poor and can't afford to do much of anything.

I like to build things with wood, home improvements, and yard work.

I also enjoy seeing how much beer I can drink before going to sleep
