What Bets Should I Put On Our Season?
#1
Heading up to Toronto in a few hours for a few days and will definitely stop by the casino.

In sports betting, I think they only do parlays, so what should I look for?

Hill with double digit touchdowns, a thousand yards rushing, Geno with double digit sacks, Dalton with 30 TD passes and over 4,000 yards, and anything else?

Bengals are 20-1 on winning the Super Bowl. If you have an extra $100 laying around, might be worth the chance.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Agree with this because they are taxing bettors at a 17-2 odds of winning AFC Championship game.

Think if they win the first ? The SB will be ours !

Like all you have listed and may see something real small on Tyler Boyd that might be worth a swing.

Believe MJ's sacks will go up as well but think casinos will already have this about right. But worth looking at.

Each casino has their own odds based on play. So if you are going to go to several it is definitely worth shopping around before placing bet.

I'd like to bet a little money on the bengals going 19-0, but I can't find the odds anywhere.

I'd look at it more like buying a lottery ticket than actually betting on them to go undefeated. But if I am going to risk my money I might as well throw it at the longest odds i can find.

Let em know if they book those odds in Toronto.

Dalton for MVP was something like 33 to 1. I love that bet.

Exactly, and I think this offense (and I have no basis for this other than the early preseason and Zamp's history with the team) will be more pass to set up the run instead of the other way around.  Dalton is set to have his best year ever and we already know Brady isn't winning it.

Would like it more if Eifert was not dinged and all the WR's were not new besides AJ.

Yet Dalton was amazing at reading defenses last season and do not hate bet at all.

Plus would not have to bet much to get nice return.

But if Bengals were able to have retained just one of the two receivers lost ? Would fire large on this.

Might feel better about it after seeing Lafell on the field.

This is going to sound like total orange-colored glasses, but I would take this year's squad over last year's.

The reason for this is because I feel Boyd will be a significant upgrade over Sanu and I think Core will take the place of Fafell by mid-season.  As I have stated before, I think Boyd is the new Housh, and Core is the new Henry.  Combine that with TEs that we never had before, RBs that can catch out of the backfield,  and this offense will be lethal.

I put bets on teams that I hate to win. I put $200 on the Steelers to win the Super Bowl this year. If they win, I win $2,000. I figure if I'm going to be miserable about teams that I hate that win their respective championships, I might as well get some money out of the deal. If I don't win money, that's fine by me too.

This worked for me once. I put money on Duke to win the NCAA Championship two seasons ago. Won myself $700 on a $20 bet.

Well, if that's the case, I should lay some money down on the Panthers..

Am fine with that assessment if Lafell is ok. Time will tell, he did have the "dropsies" last season but was solid the prior year.

Have also suggested in yhis post to check out what the bets are for Boyd.

Believe there will be low numbers on Boyd that he will exceed.

Nothing wrong with orange colored glasses. I guzzle the orange/black Kool aid all the time.

On the "player that could get a lot more yards than they think" front, Boyd will likely be less in numbers, but more in yards.  I feel like he will be a great weapon, but might not be targeted as many times as the TEs and RBs.

However, I bet there will be really low targets for Kroft and even Uzomah, which they might easily exceed.

My biggest pass-catching threat for this year will be Gio.  I think he gets a TON of opportunities in this offense as a check down.  Maybe Burkhead also.

Parlays are tough. I would look at over on win total and first place in the division. Also Jeremy Hill rushing yards and AJ receiving yards might be worth looking at.

Perhaps, but still think Boyd will exceed Vegas line expectations. If there even are any lines on him.

Because if they set it too high ? High rollers will fire large on it. Think he will be bigger part of offense than expected.

Do agree with TE's listed though, but line most certainly be adjusted higher until Eiferts availability is figured out. If it is said he is healthy and will start the season as starter then believe your bet would be a lock.

Because then they will sleep on the two.
If he is in limbo then think the line will be right on the money and not worth the gamble.

Agree with other lost poet too that would go straight up instead of parlaying wager.

Anyway, good luck Brad and go with your gut feeling.

Only team I absolutely despise and hate is steelers.

In no way can I wager on them to win SB though.

Because could never and will never watch SB and root for them to win. Which would be forced to do if my pockets had thousands in the balance.

Like the theory by earlier poster, just not for me.

If steelers are in SB ? You can bet your ass, house, entire bank account, and 401k safely in Sportsbook that I will be rooting for their opponent with every fiber of body, mind, and soul to win.

No matter who it is. This is my guaranteed lock of the century friends !

If you can get good odds on whether or not I will joyously dance naked in the streets after a Bengals SB win ?

Probably should wager on the "will dance" even though you know already I am against excessive celebrations.
