Released by chargers and bengals put in claim in May. Think the bengals would want to carry 3 qbs?

At this point, if we brought in Mett, it'd be for one of those veteran PS spots.

Nah, but I think the Bengals should still pick him up. Even more so with the Vikings having Teddy go down bad. I don't like weakening a roster right before the season starts, but if a team with playoff hopes gets desperate, you could deal McCarron and still have a competent backup.

Mettenberger is not a competent back up.

8 fumbles and 14 interceptions in just 14 games.  He is a turnover machine.
