Things You Hate Most About The Steelers

My hatred for that team started on January 8th 2006. With one cheap shot they crushed my hopes and dreams of seeing Bengals, and their high flying offense win the Super Bowl. Which I think we absolutely would have done had that POS Kimo van Oelhoffen not took out Palmer's leg.

My hatred reached another level last year in the playoff game watching their coache's pull our players hair, dance on our field while Gio was laying on the ground unconscious, and finally a LB coach coming on the field when the Pitt D wasn't even playing, for no other reason than to cause trouble. Which he was completely successful at. Mind you this was a guy who had his posse of thugs beat up one of our players years earlier in a casino.

It would be one thing if the Steelers had the reputation of the old school Oakland Raiders or something, but the idea that team is a model franchise just because of their success is an absolute joke.

Sadly, our fans are habitually obsessed and consumed with the Steelers due to jealousy.


It's a horrible, desperate and clinging quality that a lot of our fan base possesses. It's the same with Reds fans and the cardinals.

Consider last year, the steelers season was more successful than any of the last 25 bengals seasons.

It's just Cincy sports fans. Always begging for an excuse and never actually facing the facts. It's hard for a franchise to go 20+ years without advancing in the playoffs. Yet We have two teams who are mired in that 20+ consecutive season, epic ineptitude.

Nope. The Ravens have won multiple Super Bowl's as well, and I don't hate them in the slightest.

Plenty of valid reasons have already been give why people hate the Steelers.

I Hate the Steelers b/c most of their fans are bandwagoners. i.e. i'm a huge kentucky basketball fan, yet so many of my "fellow" kentucky fans are steeler fans. i'm betting alabama football fans deal with the same shit. or you get people like coltsfan who root for them just for pure absurdity. steeler fans are like a bad case of fleas. so.....it's b/c of their fanbase that i hate the steelers the most.

They have done absolutely nothing in recent years. Except lose a playoff game to Tim Tebow, and have another gifted to them by the refs. 

If I'm jealous of any team in the NFL it's the Patriots. And it's not even close.

In the last 10 years the steelers have won 8 playoff games, made 2 superbowls and won one. 

The bengals haven't even won a wild card playoff game.   Keep dreaming

#1 for me is easily their fans. I'm not sure there's a worse fanbase in all of sports. I hate them for so many reasons.

-Their fanbase, the collective total of ass-clowns that claim to rep the Steelers, is compromised of no less than 50% bandwagoners. Just good for nothing, "I care more about being cool" than being an actual fan, bandwagoners.

Seriously, if you were to go and quiz every single Steeler fan on Steelers related knowledge on things that either didn't feature the 70's teams, or the post 2000 teams, I'd be willing to bet that half of them would score no better than non-Steelers fans.

I dislike their fans more than the actual team. But I choose to have fun with them instead of argue. If you ever want to confuse a Steeler fan when they talk about six rings, ask them who the team beat in those games. The look on most of their faces is priceless.

Also, most of them think the team is 6-0 in Super Bowls. They have no idea the Steelers have lost 2. I also find it funny that 45% of Steeler fans I know are also Yankee fans. See the correlation?
