Is Geno Atkins even elite ?
#21
The way to neutralize a guy like Geno is run it right up the gut at him. The weak links right now are Peko, MJ and both LB's not named Burfict.

In the last 6 primetime games, Atkins has 4.5 sacks.

Atkins also has the most sacks of any interior defensive lineman since 2011.

Nah Burfict had a pretty bad game as well. Which we're not used to, could be some rust. But against the Cowboys he bit a lot of misdirections and on the Zeke long TD run he bit on Witten waving his hand that he's open and followed him. Iloka followed suit, leaving the middle wide open.

No. He hasn't. He's been one of the few consistent players on defense. Just stop.

We're not paying him to be consistent. We're paying him to be dominant. I was actually impressed with Burfict, given his past and work ethic, not worried about him at all.

Very worried about the second level play and as usual, the "other DT" spot. In prior years, we've gotten away with a rotation that keeps everyone fresh, having multiple layers of versatile players on the D-line. The more Peko we see, the more I'm worried. The more Maualuga we see, the more I'm worried.

Maybe Adam Jones should pick a fight with him?
