if anything no matter the Era the Bengals have amassed some really great WRs over time.
in your opinion and observation who was the most talented to wear the stripes ?
throw the over stats out the window.
on a pure talent stand point who takes the crown?
just one wr.
I'm gonna go with the late Chris Henry.
yeah he #3 on a deep deep depth chart but he could have started for most the NFL teams
always produced when his number was called.
fastest WR I saw tracking a ball.down
always a thorn in the Steelers side..they had no answer for him

Hands down AJ Green.

Curtis may have been great in the modern era, but we will never know..
AJ Green is an absolute perfectionist. He is my pick, hands down.
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Except the 8-12 super super easy passes he drops per year.
And the 2-3 INT on balls that he doesn't come back and fight for per year.
That said, he's probably #2.

If we're talking just pure talent, I am not sure how you can ever keep Chad Johnson out of the conversation. Guy had about as dominant of a stretch at WR as you'll ever see. Plus he might be in contention for best feet in football history.
AJ Green will probably have a better career when all is said and done, but if the question is just talent? Chad. I know yards isn't exactly the singular determining stat or anything, but....
Chad
2003: 4th in yards
2004: 6th in yards
2005: 3rd in yards
2006: 1st in yards
2007: 3rd in yards
(4 straight 1st team All-Pros '03-'06)
AJ
2011: 17th in yards
2012: 10th in yards
2013: 5th in yards
2014: 20th in yards
2015: 8th in yards
2016: 3rd in yards per game (incomplete)
(2 straight 2nd team All-Pros ('12-'13)

based on Hue's use of him last year, I would have to say Jake Fisher.

Curtis would still be running by CBs.. he is as fast as most any WR in today's game

CBs in this day, or back them?
Serious question. Until Deion Sanders, most typical good CBs had 4.5 speed.

Now we see what 4.5 speed gets Dennard. Dude always looks like he is trailing behind.

My assumption is that you are referring to the period that they were wearing the striped uniform. Otherwise T.O. and Charlie Joyner have to be in the conversation. If we are talking only about shear talent (differs from production) while in a Bengals uni, the top 5 in order are AJ, Slim, Chad, Pickens, Curtis.

Isaac Curtis. They rewrote coverage rules because of him.

WAIT. I just re-read the thread and realized something.
"Most talented WR to wear a Bengals uniform."
NOT
"Most talented WR to have a career with the Bengals."
So I am changing my answer to Terrell Owens:
-6th in career receptions
-2nd in career receiving yards
-3rd in career receiving TDs
-5 1st Team All-Pros
Either the 2nd or 3rd best WR of all time.

TO was the best WR to spend time as a Bengal, if we go by the wording of the question.

Still say AJ, but Curtis is still my favorite Bengals WR ever.
