Trade Deadline Bombshell

No trade deadline, nothing. Just see ya.

We wait until the end of the year though, because we can suffer through a few more missed Nugent kicks in an off year. Changes are scary, especially on Halloween.

Mike Brown is allergic to change.

And Collins traded to purgatory. LOL

Collins is perfect for a 3-4 defense he's really good bill just didn't wanna pay him and neither would Mikey so the trade would never happen not to mention we run a 4-3
Who Dey!!!

Well the trade deadline is tomorrow, so obviously it played a role. Cannot see how this move will do anything to improve the Pat's chances at a Superbowl this year. The better move would have been to trade FOR a player

Obviously Belichick gamed the system, again. If Collins would have played out the season with the Pats, and went away in free agency, Pats likely would have received a 3rd round compensatory pick. By trading him to the worst team in football, he essentially moved that pick up from the tail end of the round, to the beginning.

Why can't the Bengals be savvy like that?

You guys act like he was a terrible player. He was better then any LB we have and has been playing pretty well.

Us guys??  The Patriots were the ones that traded him to Cleveland, for a draft pick.

Why did Cleveland trade for anyone while they are 0-8?

He was traded for a compensatory pick (first one ever traded!).

The Pats were not going to be able to retain him in FA, so they made the move now to get the comp pick in this next draft instead of the following draft.

Hmm, well the guy is either up for a big contract next year and Cleveland is going to have to overpay him to keep him there or they franchise tag him.  The way they accumulate picks though, they're probably going to have to overpay a few FA's to hit the salary floor as the team will be a bunch of rookies and 2nd year players.

Hmm, well it seems more like the Browns' mantra this year has been "Trade everyone who has ever played a snap of football at the NFL level for ANYTHING..AAAANYTHING!!!!  So this is an odd move.

Q: Do you know the difference between a chickpea and a garbanzo bean?

A:  I've never had a garbanzo bean all over my face.

Most likely one of the few teams NE would trade a player of Collins' caliber. It's not like it's gonna come back and bite him. Now if Clev is smart enough to trade him immediately to a contender; for a little more, then they have made a great move.

Just because he was traded doesn't mean he was a bad player.

They also traded away Logan Mankins, someone who had just made 4 probowls, for a TE who did nothing and a 4th round pick. You guys act like we could traxe peko for a 3rd round pick. The reason they got so much for him was because he is a good player.

Who would want Cincinnati's players?  You would have to re-teach them practically everything!

For the Pats, it's probably more about not putting up with players' shit and making an example out of someone to strike obedience in their players

It's because winning is the priority at NE. Belichick ain't putting up with no crap, he's firing a shot across the players brows. Remember a couple seasons ago when they released their punt returner after a fumble like mid season. It's why they have multiple Super Bowls and we ummmm don't.

Mike Brown and Marvin want to just play better. Big difference

That's most likely a very good point.  These two teams are polar opposites.  You screw up in Foxboro....you hit the bricks.  Meltdown that contributes to a 7th consecutive playoff loss....get suspended the first 3 games....only to show up fat and out of shape?  Only in Cincy.  That shit wouldn't have lasted out of the locker room after the game if it was NE.
