What happened to Jeremy Hill?

Say what you want to diminish Burkhead, his lower half moves a lot better and doesn't go down as easy after first contact.

This.  He has really good acceleration and lateral movement - had a really good short shuttle.  And he has less bulk but more power than Hill.   Hill is much more easily tripped up and knocked over.   Rex was the short yardage and goal line back at Nebraska with a lot of success.

He has been underutilized here.   Run him consistently and he'll be an excellent double threat.   And he handles blitz pickup really well.

The OL isn't good, but Hill has a lot of issues as a RB.

His vision isn't very good at all, and he often neglects using his blockers.
Also for a 235lb RB, he goes down REALLY easily (his yards after contact has been really weak the last two years), and is quick to run out of bounds to avoid contact from a DB.
Plus he thinks he is farrrr faster than he really is, and keeps trying to go sideline to sideline rather than ever cutting up the field. He's not in the SEC anymore. People in the NFL are faster.

If he ran with a Marshawn Lynch/Marion Barber type mentality, he would probably be at least a bit better.

Dalton out accelerates Hill. I wonder what their 10 yard dash times are like.
