Chad Interview

Chad was never one that I thought would be a bad decision maker after football. Players like that would have been Chris Henry, Adam Jones, Odell Thurman, etc.
Chad was a clown at times, but he never had serious off-field issues outside of the infamous headbutt to his newlywed wife in the heat of an argument. That incident always seemed more like a blip on the radar rather than a trend.

I never thought Chad was a bad dude at all but you never know what happens to players after the NFL leaves them behind especially if they didn't retire on their own terms. I was worried he wouldn't handle his finances and end up making bad choices because of it.

Buncha butt hurt Pats bandwagon riders in the comment section. Sheesh that has to be the most sensitive fan base in the history of sports. Any perceived sleight and they'll flame you. I do agree with the guy that said this:

"Chad Johnson, Reggie Wayne, Joey Galloway – couldn’t teach an old dog new tricks and none of them had any gas left in the tank as they never really hooked on after they left NE."

Chad flamed out in NE for 2 main reasons. One, he was traded after the lockout and had no time to digest that complex offense and get chemistry with Brady and two, he was 33 and washed up physically. Just like Wayne, Galloway and Torry Holt. All guys that flopped at the end of their careers in NE.

If you don't hate Chad, it's easy to see why he wasn't successful there. It wasn't about freelancing routes or any other made up nonsense.

I saw an article about two years ago that said he is selling Real Estate and has a net worth of less than $1 million today.  Unfortunately, that would say he did not handle his finances well at all.  I know that Owens is broke, so maybe they invested in some of the same stuff.

I hope he's happy with what he's doing. Some of his celebrations were a bit over the top, but he had talent. Best feet in the business. As the years fade into memory I remember more of the good times and less of the ass-clownery at the end.

Lol. I think you have the wrong "Chad Johnson". I googled Chad Johnson net worth and the first result to pop up mentions him having a net worth of 800k and being in real estate.

The article is about Chad Johnson from Bachelorette. Not Chad the football player.

Oh crap... yeah, I read the article, saw "Chad Johnson" and thought of the wide receiver.  My bad.

I did see TO interviewed and he talked about losing most of his net worth in a casino that went under.
