9 months to less than 1 year Polling Trump, Biden, Kennedy, Westand Stein

Trump now up 4.3 Nationally against just Biden. Reuters went from even last month to +5 this month. Let's see how the Biden trends go after NY civil trial took 83 million from his pocketbook, if she wins on the 2 appeals.

https://www.realclearpolling.com/polls/president/general/2024/trump-vs-biden

I have said all along, I will support the GOP nominee, Trump or Haley, both are smoking Biden in battleground states so far.

Long way to go, but I still see no way Democrats allow Biden to go against the GOP nominee, I would hope anyone watching Joe struggle would agree, he is not capable of handling ordering lunch, let alone dealing with all of the issues he created that need fixed quickly.

Well it is January 31, 2024 and the election os November 5. So, we are now a little more tha 9 months away. The latest state polls will likely cause the demise of Biden's run in 2024. Maybe I wam wrong, but he is not just losing in swing states, he is getting killed outside the margin of error in most. Note, these are Bloomberg/Morning Consult polling numbers. not Fox News.

Great news for Biden. Up 6% head to head and 3% against Trump and the others in new Quinnipiac poll.

Biden tops Trump in new poll, but lead shrinks against third-party candidates
November showdowns: Biden tops Trump but trails Haley in hypothetical matchups in new poll
President Biden holds a six-point lead over former President Donald Trump in a likely November election rematch, a new national poll suggests.

But the Quinnipiac University survey released on Wednesday indicates that the president's advantage over Trump shrinks in a multi-candidate general election field that also includes independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The poll also shows Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley topping Biden by five points in a hypothetical November showdown, but Biden with a slight edge over the former South Carolina governor and former U.N. ambassador in a crowded field of contenders.

If every poll shows Haley winning the general election, then explain to me why Republicans are leaning on Trump.

Good Question

The answer is many Republicans think she is Rhino. She is for war, the Trump voters are against war. She is iffy on social security keeping benefits. Trump is for never touching it negatively. Haley has China ties while governor of SC, Trump does not. Haley is taking money from liberals, Trump is not.

The reality is nationally Haley has no chance of winning the GOP nomination, she is down 60 to 80 points against Trump.

Last, most Trump supporters see no way Biden continues to be the nominee. Trump has a record to run on starting with naming Supreme Court justices he said ahead of time he would after compiling a list. He kills Biden or any Democratic nominee on the economy and immigration which are top 2 issues for majority of voters.

You have stated you wanted to run against Trump, others have as well. Why would you care if GOP picks Trump if you feel he can't beat Biden, but Haley can beat him? You should be. thrilled.

I just want to understand the devotion to Trump. He lies...that hasn't stopped people. He is extremely divisive...that hasn't stopped people. He has been found liable for sexual assault and fraud...that doesn't deter people. He has promised 4 years of chaos and revenge along with vague promises with no actual plans behind them...that hasn't stopped people. He has 91 indictments that involve fraud, insurrection, obstruction of justice, etc...that hasn't stopped people. He is publically claiming he is above the law not that he is actually innocent...that isn't stopping people. Judging from his recent speeches, he is even more incoherent than ever...that isn't stopping people.

Every poll says another candidate will be better for the Party in the general election...Republican voters don't care

Can he honestly shoot someone on 5th Avenue with no consequences? Do Republicans even care about his actions?

What devotion?  There is a large percentage of Democrats who have said they would prefer a different better candidate than Biden. Mostly they are looking for someone younger and more dynamic.  Unfortunately, Dean Phillips and Robert Kennedy aren't that. If Luvnit's poll numbers are real, then they also indicate less than devotion to Biden. But, Biden's administration has had some notable successes which is substantial considering the slim margins in Congress and the economic and social disaster they were handed in 2020.

Democrats are well aware of Biden's weaknesses and flaws.

Can you honestly say the same thing about Trump voters?  When you ask them the most they ever come up with is "mean tweets"

Democrats, when the 2016 election was lost, were told time after time, we have to understand the Trump voter.  I truly want to understand what would stop a MAGA Republican from supporting Trump.

We can use the same argument and worse for Biden. He too is accused of sexual assault against Tara Reid in the 90's. He too lies over and over again, about his involvement with his son's businesses, about saying the border is secure about saying he asked Congress for money for the border on day 1 in office. Day 1 in office both house and senate had democratic majorities, so he either lied or fellow democrats did not want to do anything to fix illegal immigration or deter them from coming to the border.

I believe independents see Trump was and is persecuted by Democrats, Obama and Biden by weaponizing the DOJ.

To put it in simple terms, Trump's policies helped the average american more than Biden's policies. It is simple to see inflation results under Trump (5% for 4 years) and Biden over 17% for 3 years resulting in a $11,000 loss per family over the Trump inflation and economic policies. Immigration bumps are outrageous, so bad even major Democratic mayors and governors are begging for help.

Last, when is the last time we have seen Biden do an unscripted 60 minute speech and have no mistakes. Everyone unbiased sees Joe is mentally incapable to be a great leader. Also, Biden promised to unite the country, but instead attacks Trump supporters. It is OK to attack Trump, but you don't unite the country by attacking his supporters.

If people felt all of your democratic talking points were accurate he would lose support, but we don't feel Trump has been treated equally to Bill Clinton, HRC, Obama or Biden. Democrats have made Trump a Martyr  and reason black voters are considering voting for him is they understand what it is like to be unfairly targted.

Why do you care? If you understand are you going to switch your vote to Trump. That is. the problem with the Trump mentality, they don't get that Trump relates to more people than any other GOP President since Reagan. We feel he understands the lower and middle class, we feel Democrats do not and think black voters are not black if they are a conservative. Whoopi and others attacking Tim Scott. Why? Simple, he is a black Trump supporter.

shouldn't we, as Americans, at least try to bridge the gap in understanding how and why each other votes?

You talk about Trump's policies but his policies totally failed during COVID.  His decisions destroyed the American economy. His tax cuts massively increased the deficits You want to blame Biden for inflation but he was handed a sinking ship.  The US is doing better than any developed country in the world, many of which are run by conservative governments.  Did Biden cause their problems too?

The US has never had 17% inflation.  Inflation is measured year over year not cumulatively.  You cannot simply add numbers together and conclude.  You also can't just look at one measure.  Was inflation a problem...absolutely.  Biden inherited an economy on the brink of a major recession or even a depression and yet neither occurred.  Corporations that drive consumer costs, at the height of inflation, were reporting record profits.  Do you think those record profits were boosted by the price increases these companies forced on consumers?  Price gouging drove inflation.

What are Trump's plans for a next term?  He claims to have a health plan (where have we heard that one before)?  But most of his speeches are filled with nonsense word salad focused on revenge against his "enemies'.  Do we really want that as the focus of the US President

One thing that is definitely different between european politics and american ones is that we are way more critical with the people who we are voting for.

But the political spectrum is way wider than it is with only 2 political parties.

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

You got your answer:  Everything that P01135809 is accused of is a lie OR "Biden did it too".

There has been no one like P01135809 when it come to the sheer volume of failures and lawsuits that has not only won political office but continues to control of our two majority parties.

Like most cult leaders he has people who think he speaks directly to them.
Like most cult leaders people believe only he can solve the "problems" they see.
Like most cult leaders he speaks at a lower education level so his followers never have to think too hard.
Like most cult leaders he is always right and never loses.
Like most cult leaders he is always the victim when someone disagrees or has a bad word about him
Like most cult leaders his followers feel that if he is wronged they are wronged too.

He can say anything, even if it contradicts something he just said and the latest is always the truth.

A certain percentage of the electorate were looking for someone who would defend them from the "others" who challenged what they think America should be.

That aspect isn't particularly new.

That we have a social media, self-contained bubble that they can live in to never have their opinions challenged with outside facts has grown the size of that group from what it may have been in the past.

Biden's policies would only be a valid argument if P01135809 had any himself.  He has platitudes and cliches and stock speeches.  But they make his followers feel good and that's all they want.

The truth doesn't matter as long as they feel safe.

Anyone with eyes and ears and half a brain saw he would never go away once he got a taste of the adulation he thrives on.  Anyone who thought the party would move on from him after he lost in 2020 was foolish.  The republican party will be dealing with the fault out from maga for a long time...even after he is really gone...because when the cult leader is gone the cult members will look for the next one just like him to fill that hole inside them that he filled.

You may want to look it up, inflation is measured cumulatively year over year. You say you want to understand how Republicans think, more than some like knowledge to base our decisions on. It is scary you do not understand inflation calculations. Be my guest, google and ask what was inflation each year under President Trump? Why is inflation huge? Simple, if inflation outpaced wage growth (which happened under Biden and DID NOT HAPPEN UNDER TRUMP EVEN WITH COVID), the impact is felt most most by the lower and middle income classes. A family of 4 making $75,000 a year has lost $11,000 of buying power since Biden took office. By all means, please research inflation and wage growth under Trump and you will find the Trump economy was far better for the low and middle income families. That 1 reason alone is why there seems to be a shift upward among voters of all demographics to Trump.

Is inflation up 17% since President Joe Biden took office?

Yes.

The Consumer Price Index was 307.051 in November 2023, 17% higher than the 261.582 it was in January 2021, figures from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics show.

Put another way, $100 in January 2021 has the same buying power as $117 in November 2023.

CPI is the government’s most widely used inflation measure. It includes food, clothing, shelter, transportation, energy and medical care.

I will pray you learn to have a discussion that does not include insulting Trump's voters names. I find it interesting you say things like anyone with half a brain in your argument, versus looking at the results. Trump will never be my preacher, but I like his policies. Do you like Biden's polices on?

Economy - Does Biden have higher wage growth versus inflation like Trump did, or is Biden underwater killing the lower and middle class?
Immigration - How many illegal immigrants and get aways under Biden/ Trump?
Taxes - What has Biden done in a time when Americans are hurting to lower their tax burden, again he had 100% control of Congress in 2021 and 2022?
Uniting the country (he promised) - Did either President unite the country? Did former President Obama unite the country or make it more divisive?
Major crime in every large city due to illegal immigrants and defund the police
Foreign policy - Is the US and the world a safer place under Trump or Biden?

These are just a few, please feel free to put Trump's results from his policies head to head against Biden's policies.

Both Biden and Trump carry a ton of personal baggage whether you want to admit your guy has any or not.

We are long way from November, but here is polling data prior to 2020 Presidential race. Some say 538 is more accurate, but in reality based off this, they had Biden winning by 8.4%. It appears Harris and Rasmussen were the closest to actual outcome, 2 polling places also on real clear politics.
