So basically the dad is admitting that CNN was 100% on board with him asking about arming teachers that the kid crafted and the only issue was wanting to talk even more.

Pretty much.  One dad has an issue so people are using that to say it's all fake.  Sad.

I have stated this consistently. All news sources should state their bias

Try your printed papers. Annually, most (there are a couple exceptions) submit a statement of ownership. Good way to tell where dollars go.

I can criticize their approach of having panels consist of partisan shills defending Trump and Democrats and the entertainment news approach to promoting headlines, but is there really anything "fake" about their news or is it just that it's center-left oriented that upsets people?

I trust Jake Tapper more than any journalist, the fact that he's on CNN doesn't change that for me. I've been a huge fan since his ABC days.

It's all about Profit and ratings now a days.

Half of the headlines from any major news outlet is sensationalized just to get your attention for the ratings, and it doesn't always add up to be true either.

For example: 60% of the voters don't trust Donald Trump. No shit??? Pretty sure most people don't trust Politicians in general even if it's your own party?? so what's the point? Just stupid stuff to entertain stupid people.

CNN is not centrist.

As for me, I actually read a variety.  I don’t mind openly biased news agencies, in fact I prefer them.    If you read enough stories you can find out what is actually the underlying facts and what is commentary.

Reagan was to the left of George W. Bush, but that didn't make him a "leftist."

You called CNN "leftist."  Don't you just mean "leftish" compared to Fox? Which of their commentators are plugging socialism? How do they propose to replace the "free market"?

I view plenty of "openly biased" sources.  But I ultimately prefer those who take journalistic standards seriously enough to fire violators among their editors and reporters.

News without commentary can serve bias as well as just commentary without "facts."

George W Bush was a democrat as was his father. Typical neocon blue dog democrat.

Reagan was not to the left of Bush. He was to the left of Calvin Coolidge.

As I have stated numerous times. I do not believe Fox is even close to conservative. They are the typical neocon, blue dog democrat, progressive republican. CNN has taken the mantle of the leftist cause. Both try and pretend they are unbiased. In reality the only ones who operate with a shred of integrity in that area is Brett Baier and Jake Tapper.

What happens to a news organization that ignores profit and ratings? Can you think of a time in the U.S. when news was not a business?

As far as who trusts Trump, polls and stats do help us understand many things.  How many support Trump after his first year of office, compared to Obama or Bush or Clinton?   How does support vary in response to his missteps--or not?  The answer to those questions is more than "entertaining."

I'm pretty sure people distrust Trump a great deal more than other politicians. And not just Americans.

I'm pretty sure that George W. Bush, and his father, ran for office as Republicans.  Could you maybe Google that?

Again I ask, who at CNN is pushing alternatives to the free market?  Are they working on a news model that contests or limits news as a commodity?  Can you identify a socialist for me?  Maybe Van Jones?

How do the lady commentators dress on Fox news programs? And what do they say about feminazis? Howcum they call Obama and Hillary socialists? Where are they on Trans bathrooms? In the war on religion and Christmas, Fox is on the side of religion and Christmas, right? That seems close to conservative, doesn't it?

I don’t support enough spending to be a neocon

But well done on that pull. Rep for you

Just because you run as a Republican doesn’t make you conservative. The progressive gop wing is basically democrat light.

Choose a show on CNN and I will happily Post the bias reporting for the show.

Not sure why the dress code at Fox for women matter.

What is a feminazi? Are they those fat chicks who need to shave their pits and complain about men?

Obama is a socialist. And Hillary is a neocon. No one ever said she was a socialist.

They are probably where everyone else is on transvestite bathrooms..... go to their bathroom of birth or use the family bathroom.

Religon and Christmas are the same side. You don’t have Christmas without Jesus. That’s not conservative..... that’s fact

I'm sure that many here have already made up their minds about CNN, and while this will do little to sway some posters here, it's worth mentioning.

The election of Trump and this bullshit "fake news" crusade has set back our country's capacity for productive discourse decades.

TL DR

Bullshit horseshit. No real American patriot would care about actual reality after we already got a full dose of the alternative facts.

The truth is out there. CNN fake news is the bad guy here. Trump even thinks so. And thats our president. Nobody has time for what "actually" "in reality" happened.

A meeting... Between citizens and politicians.... About a hot button issue responsible for the death of children... Talk about unfairly targeting Trump and the innocent folks in the arms trade. Witch hunting bs CNN. Glad these true patriot republicans are jumping to the defense of the poor little NRA

Keep acting like facts and reality matter. That small minded dumb shit is old fashioned and a dying breed.
