Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Want a good example of how the NFL has changed over the years?

Chip Myers finished #3 in the league in receptions with 57 in 1972
Travis Kelce finished #3 in the league in receptions with 110 in 2022.

While not a crazy stat . . . since the 41-10 victory over the Steelers in November of 2021, the Bengals have a fan based Spanish language podcast that pumps out 2 or 3 videos per week. Do you think that something like this might inspire the younger Blackburns to push for a Mexico City game in the future?

Pretty amazing how far this team has come in the public's eyes since Burrow got here.

Among all Bengals averaging at least one target per game Trent Irwin is #1 in catch percentage (84.6), yards per target (7.8), and percentage of first downs per target (46.1).

Posting this because Tee is out and Chase is questionable.

The Texans are the first team to have a 350+ yard passer, 150+ yard rusher, and a 150+ yard receiver since 1998. The team in 98? The Peyton Manning led Colts with Marshall Faulk doing the running and Torrance Small doing the catching.

Games with 10 or more receptions
11 Chad Johnson in 151 games as a Bengal.
10 AJ Green in 127 games as a Bengal.
8 TJ Houshmandzadeh in 105 games as a Bengal
5 Carl Pickens in 120 games as a Bengal
5 Tyler Boyd in 115 games - 0 since Chase arrived
2 Peter Warrick in 79 games
None had more than two in one season.

Ja'Marr Chase just had his 4th game this season with 10 or more catches
7th time in his 40 games played.

86 catches for the season, one shy of his career high and tied with AJ Green for the 15th most catches in a season by a Bengal. If he and the team stays relatively healthy the rest of the way, he should be sitting in 2nd place in the next two or three weeks.
Up next on his assault on the record books
1 112 TJ Houshmandzadeh 2007
2 100 Carl Pickens 1996
3 99 Carl Pickens 1995
4 98 AJ Green 2013
5 97 Chad Johnson 2005
5 97 AJ Green 2012
7 95 Chad Johnson 2004
8 93 Chad Johnson 2007
9 92 TJ Houshmandzadeh 2008
10 90 Chad Johnson 2003
10 90 TJ Houshmandzadeh 2006
10 90 Tyler Boyd 2019
13 87 Ja'Marr Chase 2022
13 87 Chad Johnson 2006

His 1,063 yards so far is good enough for 22nd most in a season. 81 more yards and he moves into 15th.

A new total of 33 times that a Bengals receiver has had a 1,000 yard season
1 Darnay Scott
1 Eddie Brown
1 Tim McGee
2 TJ Houshandzadeh
2 Tee Higgins
2 Tyler Boyd
3 Ja'Marr Chase - only AJ Green has started a Bengals career with more 1,000 yard seasons
4 Carl Pickens
4 Cris Collinsworth - would most likely be 5 but 700 yards in only 9 games during the 1982 strike year and also missed in 1984 by 11 yards
6 AJ Green - First 5 seasons then 964 yards in only 10 games in 2016
7 Chad Johnson - Six straight seasons but only 329 yards as a rookie

Another crazy number from MNF: Per NextGen, Jake Browning became the first QB since Derek Carr in WK 16 of 2021 to complete at least seven passes of 10+ air yards without a downfield incompletion in the same game.

Add in Tua. There may actually be more still, not sure. Tua had 376 yards, five TDs and went 25-28 (89.2%) against the Broncos earlier this year.

EDIT - Disregard this. That was actually Mike White AND Tua. They pulled Tua and then Mike White came in and dropped some bombs. Tua only threw for 309.

This one's pretty cool. Kurt Warner was the closest of undrafted QBs to get to this statline when he had a game with an 84.4% completion percentage and 346 yards back in 2000. Jeff Garcia had a game where he threw for 400+ yards but he only completed 81% of his passes. Browning had a day.

I'm surprised no one posted it in THIS thread but Jake Browning is the only QB in the entire NFL to throw over 30 pass attempts for over 350 yards with a 10.0 YPA and 80+% completion percentage. This season, at least.

So happy he started to throw the ball down the field and did it extremely well. Great job Jake.

What is crazy is there was a Ja'Marr Chase drop as well.

I have no idea who Shawn Jefferson is, but the rest is pretty elite company.

Mike Evans has never had a season under 1,000 yards, for 10 straight years. Damn… available and dependable. Some season he was just over 1,000… but nonetheless. He has also done it with 6 different QBs starting games, Josh Mcown (11), Mike Glennon (5), Winston (54), fitzmagic (10), Brady (50), mayfield (12).

That is incredible and you could win a lot of money at a bar with this.

The list of QBs in NFL history with better than a 78 completion percentage and a passer rating higher than 95 in their first 3 starts:

Jake Browning

That's it. That's the list.

He has a 79.3 completion percentage and 113.4 passer rating.
