GET THAT NOBEL PRIZE READY: North Korea Bends, Releases Three American Detainees

He wasn't a "joke". I'm an outsider, but that doesn't ring true. He tried to achieve things, maybe things you don't agree with, but he did. He pushed Obamacare through and it was his effort, he led the US and the world out of the financial crisis, he tried to get rid of Guantanamo and torture and the more extreme Bush remains, and so on... he wasn't just in for being a celebrity. That's not fair to say.

Also, I wouldn't know what was so Anti-American about him. The US, as far as I can say that objectively, did good under Obama. Unemployment went down, the stock market did rise, the economic data was right and less American soldiers died on this world. The deficit was a big minus, but in retrospective, it isn't any longer.
Also, he pushed out more illegals than any president before him. He as known, even here, as "deporter-in-chief". Not that I'm for that, I'm just wondering why you consider Obama to be so "Anti-American". What's that based on.

lol, Ted Cruz.
But yeah, in principle you should go back to somewhat professionals. If your next president is Oprah Winfrey, the world will be in desperation.

1. I made a thread about detainees being released.

2. Unemployment trickled down, markets did rise but it’s hard to not. Considering where they were, he kept us in wars and even started more. He Also caused chaos in the Middle East by supporting the Arab spring.

3. Did not deport, caught and released, into the us. He was anti police taking every opportunity to throw them under the bus.

4. The democrats will run a socialist. Cruz will run with some common sense and we will be just fine.

What did they get wrong? I do believe it's a pretty straight forward question, deserving of a straight forward answer.

They said they were released when they were not released.

Ah, nobody's perfect. I don't think you're entirely fair here, but sure, I'd never argue he was without faults. Calling Obama merely a celebrity president and a joke who was anti-american takes it too far for me still. You're being opposed doesn't make things anti-american, and I think severely doubting Obama's patriotism is a bit silly. He seemed quite american to us, at least.

But wasn't his father part of the Kennedy assassination?

How is unemployment going down and stock market going up worse than unemploymenty going up and stock market crashing?

How does the wars you claim Obama started compare to the Iraq invasion?

United States did nothing to support Arab Spring.

Obama supported police.  I can provide a long liat of direct quotes if you disagree.

Claiming Obama was the worst President in recent history is a complete joke.  You may disagree with some of his policies, but when you compare the resuts to other recent President he is no where near the worst.

The right wing conservative movements history conception, like a carton of milk has an expiration date. It only goes back to 2008. Any thing their party botched before this date has expired and no longer matters.

The National Security Council said that, as of Friday morning, there is still no update regarding the release of the three American citizens who are being held in North Korea.

Their status remains unclear.

Rudy Giuliani, a member of the President's legal team who does not work for the White House and does not have a security clearance, said on Fox News yesterday, "We got Kim Jong Un impressed enough to be releasing three prisoners today."

You're welcome, but if you had just taken your head out of the echo chamber you could have found this yourself.

I cant stand trump. But I do think his putting more focus on NK and taking a harder line against them, as well as increasing tariffs on China has changed the outlook in the region. I also don't think he deserves a Nobel prize. His approach certainly has not been peaceful.

So someone that doesn't work for the administration making a statement is proof the administration is clueless? Yeah if only Id get my head out of the echo chamber long enough to see things rationally.

So I guess you should just blame the guy who hired Rudy, right?

No, wait, you can't do that either, can you?

Trump is tweeting that three "guests" are flying back from NK with the SoS.  (Since he thinks he's still on television and wants a "big reveaL I guess.)

Anyway I am glad they are free and apparently in good health.

But I felt it fair to post this also:

https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/obama-administration-unable-arrange-release/

Quote:What's True: The Obama administration was unable to secure the release of one of the Americans held by North Korea.

What's False: Two of the men being held were arrested during Trump's presidency.
ORIGIN
On 2 May 2018, President Donald Trump posted a message to the social media platform Twitter in which he claimed that the previous administration of President Barack Obama was unable to secure the release of three American hostages held in North Korea:

@realDonaldTrump

As everybody is aware, the past Administration has long been asking for three hostages to be released from a North Korean Labor camp, but to no avail. Stay tuned!
8:53 PM - May 2, 2018

The three American men being held by the authoritarian state are Tony Kim, Kim Hak-song and Kim Dong-chul. Tony Kim and Kim Hak-song were both taken into custody in 2017, after Trump had taken office. Both were teachers at Pyongyang University of Science and Technology.

According to the North Korean state-run news agency KCNA, Tony Kim was taken into custody on 22 April 2017. Kim Hak-song was detained on 6 May 2017, according to the same news agency. The third prisoner, Kim Dong-chul, has been held since 2015 — the only one of the three who was arrested during Obama’s presidency. Trump’s inaccurate tweet was quickly swatted down by CNN reporter Brian Stelter:

@brianstelter
2 of the 3 Americans were detained in 2017, when Trump was president, so the Obama jab makes no sense. Another case of Trump disrespecting his base -- assuming people won't know the facts or won't care [url=https://t.co/6oD6PT1x25]https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/991843153953964033 …
10:02 AM - May 3, 2018

The potential for the men’s release comes amid conciliatory moves by North Korea that have included a historic summit with its neighbor to the south and vowing to end its nuclear program.

It kills you to give Trump any credit lol.

I was never an obama fan but I am and have always been able to give him credit when credit was due.

I don't know what credit to give him.  I don't know what HE did.  I do know he lied just to try and make himself seem better than Obama.

Great news.

Interested to see how this all works out.

What terms will North Korea demand to give up their nuclear weapons?

US has almost 25,000 troops in South Korea. Would we be willing to pull them out and leave South Korea alone there with China and North Korea? We already have 50,000 in Japan which is close by.

Please.... that’s weak.

He is much more effective than obama ever was... not to mention he is doing it under constant attach by the press.’

Whether you like trump or not the fact is he is effective.

Joke of a thread, I don't care if Trump gets a Nobel prize, I want Nuclear warheads out of Kim Jun's possession.

The peace prize is nothing but a joke anyways. They made it a joke by giving it away over the dumbest of reasons. It's not worth the paper it's printed on now.

Never seen such a bunch of adults crying like babies cause they don't like someone. So sick of it.
Trump 2020!! Maybe by then the idiots in Congress will listen to what the people want done.

The level of stupidity is really bad, Trump can't even fart with out someone being offended.

He lied....you denied.

No surprise.

All I said was he lied due to an obsession with Obama (seem prevalent among his supporters too.)

He could have just announced it and taken credit (even if we don't know what he did to make it happen) but he had to try and appear better than Obama.

"effective"

I'm just glad your thoughts weren't a copy and paste for dailywhiner again.
