I'd say the low 5th rounder would kinda expect the high 2nd rounder to take his job.

Same....unless the 2nd rounder was drafted explicitly to replace him.  Once you bench your starter....it's pretty much over.  I don't mean yanking an ineffective guy in the third quarter, I'm talking about not starting him.
