Ohio Students Given Given Sexually Explicit Lesson Plans
#1
Our country has become ridiculous.

This is what happens when you elect a vegetable as President, let people use the bathrooms of their choice, let people identify as whatever they want with no set of standards, and just erase all objectivity and make everything subjective.

This mayor calls for the board members to either resign or they will be charged.

The subjects the kids were told to write about include:

Quote:Write a sex scene you wouldn't show your mom.

Quote:Rewrite the sex scene from above into what you'd let your mom read.

Quote:Describe your favorite part of a man's body using only verbs.

Quote:Describe a time you wanted to orgasm but couldn't

Quote:You were just caught in bed by a jealous spouse: how would you talk your way out of this?

Quote:Write a sermon for a beloved preacher that has been caught in a sex scandal.

Quote:Ten euphemisms for sex.

Quote:You're a brand new suicide hotline counselor. Describe how you feel during the course of your first call.

Quote:Write a letter from the point of view of a drug addict.

Quote:Drink a beer. Write about the taste.

Quote:Write an x-rated Disney scenario.

There's a few more.

That's grooming.

Tell me why that's ok.

That was the only one with a video that fit this board's video links, which I couldn't get to post anyways, but here's a few more:

Yahoo!

USA Today

Cleveland 19

NBC News

News 5 Cleveland

Were you just trying to discredit my source because you have no answer for how insane this is that the school is doing it?

By the way, they're also not allowed to take the book home, which tells you a lot about how crazy the school knows it is.

It is true...but it's not the whole truth apparently.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2021/09/15/hudson-mayor-school-board-must-resign-after-students-write-sex-alcohol/8346222002/

Quote:In a prepared statement, Superintendent Phil Herman said the "inappropriate and offensive writing prompts" were part of a supplemental resource used in the high school senior-level College Credit Plus writing sections.

"The district immediately determined this writing resource should not be in the hands of our students, and on Monday, collected the books from the students enrolled in the course," Herman said. "It is important to note that at no time were any of these inappropriate writing prompts assigned as part of the class."

High school principal Brian Wilch said the class is offered in association with Hiram College but is taught at the high school. He also said the "642 Things" book has been used in the past.

Wilch told the board Monday that he and his administrative team apologized to the students' parents. The school is searching for replacement material that is suitable for high school students, he said.

"We did not exercise due diligence when we reviewed this resource and as a result, we overlooked several writing prompts among the 642 that are not appropriate for our high school audience," Wilch said. "We feel terrible. At no time were any of these inappropriate prompts selected or discussed, but still they were there and they were viewable, and you can't unsee them."

So, while bad, it was a college level course and none of the prompts in question were used.

I'm sure there are absolutely zero high school seniors taking a college prep course that has ever heard such things as "sex". "orgasm" and "beer". Ninja

But anytime sex can be exploited to make political points it will be.

of course it was misrepresented.  This is Brad we're talking about.  There was going to be some thread of truth in there, but my point was that one was going to get truth from a FB link.

just didnt feel like typing all that out

Misrepresented?

You think that's ok to teach to high schoolers, even if it was a college class?

Were the parents informed that the class would have that kind of material when they agreed to let their kids take it?

I also posted more links to the story, which you ignored and just tried to insult me again, which proves that you know it's wrong.

Is this really a partisan issue? The principal in question is a registered Republican. I think this is less of a partisan issue and more just a mistake made in vetting a book.

I have questions.
1. How does this have anything to do with Biden? (BDS?)
2. How does someone's decision on where to take a shit or piss play into this?

There is clearly a sect on the right who have lost their minds and want nothing but to be outraged 24/7.

1. Because everything goes to hell when you don't have a strong leader.

2. It's more about locker rooms and changing showering (I misspoke when I said bathrooms), but it's just another example of how ridiculous things have gotten.

Should it even be a college level course? That's debatable itself.

1. It has nothing to do with Biden and the OP shouldn't have put him in the crosshairs.

2. It doesn't. It's just Brad being angry about the topic at hand. I think that was an Obama thing anyway, which, I don't think we see much of that anyway.

As to the topic of the post, WTF we teaching our kids? If I paid for my kids college, (which I didn't because she paid for it herself) I would consider this a waste of my money.

We would have had the same problem if Trump was re-elected I'm sure.

Most of this you are complaining about is not at a federal level and should be directed locally. I understand your anger, but the blame is slightly misguided.

Book was titled 642 Things to Write about in a course titled Writing in the Liberal Arts II.

Somebody has to write romance novels and porn scripts.

Congrats on the daughter being a boss!

Agreed on should it even be a college level course because it's just ridiculous. Definitely not at the freshmen or sophomore level.

It has to do with Biden because he's a weak leader and, like I said, all objective realities are being erased and kids are being forced to face things and hear things that kids shouldn't have to deal with.

Like a self professed serial sexual assaulter who cheated on his nude model wife with a porn star that he paid off?

Thanks for the congrats on the boss daughter, but she had no choice. If she had to pay for it herself she would work harder and my judgement paid off for her.

It should not be taught at any level of schooling.

No, it doesn't and Biden being weak is just an opinion. I mean this in the nicest way, but don't try to be like the left was when Trump was in office. Everything was Trumps fault. They lied and twisted things to keep his name coming up in a negative fashion everyday. But now, I see Fox and Newsmax doing the same and it disgusts me. They reach so far for shit that it becomes nothing but a lie.

We are screwed when it comes to honest reporting and zero leaning. So, I guess, we should listen to our hearts and the common sense we know about humans and the world. I didn't vote for Biden and I damn sure wouldn't vote for him in the next election. But I refuse to be a blinder wearing douchebag who goes against everything he does. As a veteran and someone who loves this country, I have to trust the process and support Biden as President since he was elected. He is the commander in Chief and elected by the people (please don't argue the election results, we have beaten that horse to death and it isn't going to change) so the only correct thing to do is support him.

IMO, we have to stop the diversity in this country. In my 54yrs, I've not known it to be at such a critical level as it is currently. L vs. R is ridiculous. We need to do better from the top down. Everything from the politicians, media, teachers, down to the posters on TBB.com.

Way to try to turn it back on Trump.

Very sad but not unexpected.

Maybe DeWine should be a better leader and less of a vegetable. Time to replace the Ohio Legislature with folks from the left. That's a great take to have Brad.

How did you know that's who I was talking about? I didn't even say his name.

I'm just highlighting the absurdity of the trump cult.

You are the one blaming a random high school book on Biden and now all of a sudden worried about protecting kids from being forced to hear and face things they shouldn't have to. But you will give your democracy away to a scumbag and let him do whatever he wants

No one needs to take accountability anymore as long as we can blame everything on Biden and Trump. It's glorious.

Pretty much. The party of personal responsibility (unless Congress and/or the White House is headed by Democrats).
"A great democracy has got to be progressive, or it will soon cease to be either great or a democracy..." - TR

"The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little." - FDR
