Americans have been using them since the Revolution.

There's a half dozen trailer parks in my home town where there's more ar-15s than consecutive teeth.

Let me know when an AR 15 is anywhere close to the top of most used weapons in mass shootings, or even shootings in general.

What weapon was used in the Parkland (17 dead), Las Vegas (59), San Bernadino (16), Pittsburgh (11), Sutherland Springs (27), Aurora (12), and Sandy Hook (28) shootings?

That's why they are poor, they blow money on expensive stuff they don't need.

Handguns are used 3 times more often than rifles in mass shootings. The VAST majority is from handguns, and they're rarely done with rifles.

I live in a world where poor people don't have several hundred dollars to blow on a gun.

Maybe you just define "poor" differently from me.  And it is true that there are probably a few "poor" people who own AR-15's.  But my point was that is was definitely NOT a fact that all gun control laws are about taking guns away from poor people..

Sorry to de-rail a thread that is not supposed to be about debate.

God I love Duckworth.  I wish she would run for President someday.

FTR I deleted the embedded version because she used a "*" for her expletive and I wanted to cut it out completely no matter how deserved it was.

You'll just blow it on a gun you'll never use.  Poor people, their own worst enemies.

Generally, it goes wic/ebt-> smokes/booze/drugs -> higher priced items (guns, vehicles, etc). Some people just skip the benefits and make meth or grow pot and trade that for firearms or whatever.

I don't think gun control laws are about keeping firearms from poor people, but I would guess there's as many ar-15s below the poverty line as there above it.

Just watched all of these. I miss his commentary but his visits on Fox were straight up assassinations of the hosts O'Reilly and Wallace.

6-23-1995 - length 32:21 Final episode of The Jon Stewart Show on MTV. I tuned in for this. I liked his show because it was the first time I saw Slayer live on my TV. He did things that no one else was doing, plus he had Dave Atell and Brian Posehn as some of his writers. It was strange and off the wall very much like early David Letterman shows. Letterman was my favorite talk show host and I loved how he made a rare talk show appearance to tell Jon Stewart that he had better days ahead. He nailed that one. He came a long way from this show.
