Did you ever hear the tale of the Indian chief who found a rattle snake dying from the cold at the top of a mountain. The snake pleaded with the chief to carry ...him down the mountain so he could get warm and recover and live. The good hearted chief took pity and took the snake down the mountain. There the snake gave him a deadly bite. The chief asked the rattler how he could do such an evil thing. The rattler replied "you knew I was a rattle snake when you picked me up"! Morale: compassion should not out weigh common sense.

To use that tale:  We are talking about carrying all kinds of animals down the mountain...and some people calling the bird and the cub and the cat and the dog all snakes.

If someone gave you 10,000 M&Ms, and told you that 10 of them were poison, how anxious would you be to put a handful in your mouth?

To make this more comparable to refugees we would need to spend time using chemical analysis to attempt determining which ones were poisoned first. But, you know, that doesn't fit the narrative.

You want to chemically test refugees? Is that before or after their religion test?

It shouldn't be a bad thing that the majority of Americans do not want these refugees.

Everyone has the right to be cautious about who comes into this country and their communities.

Depends on how credible the person was who told me 10 were poison.  Especially if I had eaten a million of M&Ms from the same exact source over the last decade and none of them had been poison.

But your story implies that all Syrians are terrorists (rattle snakes). 

Also, I'm not sure how familiar you are with Syria, but female circumcision and stoning are not prevalent in Syria.

Not necessarily. As it was explained in another thread by Matt, Sharia covers a wide range of issues and the majority of countries that implement it do not implement all aspects of it. Also, those trying to enforce stricter applications of it are ISIL, the terrorists whose rule most of these refugees are trying to escape. 

 Female circumcision also takes places in the US but we do not have Sharia Law.
