I'm not floored even the most Trump friendly SC is voting against him.  Justices like Kavanaugh and Barret used Trump's popularity to push their own standard GOP agenda, and they also know they'll be on the court 25+ years after Trump is either dead and buried literally or politically.  Trump may have the support of right wing media folks who can spout whatever they like, but unless he can morph into an assault rifle or a fetus his SC picks aren't going to help him.

GOP standards who have been playing the game for decades know that Trump is a few bad primary showings away from declaring the GOP to be just as bad as the radical left, anyways.  Either that or he manages to win in 2024 and the SC goes on his ever-growing list of targets for revenge.  So while I can politically have issues with the SC, they are clearly smart enough to realize that no amount of loyalty will ever be enough for someone like Trump, so you may as well piss him off now and get it over with.
