Let's begin by examining the wage of $18.45/day x 5 workdays/week x 52 weeks = gross annual income of $4797.00 which is 42% below the federal poverty level of $11,770 for a single person which means their federal tax rate is 10%, not 29%.  If the minimum wage was $18.45/hour x 40 hours/week x 52 weeks = annual gross income of $38,376 which means their federal tax rate would be 25%, but the standard deduction of $6300 for a single person reduces their taxable income to $32,076 well within the 15% tax bracket.  The 28% tax bracket doesn't begin until $90,751 which means the minimum wage would need to be raised to at least $43.63/hour (without any deductions or exemptions) to worry about a 28% tax rate.  But, unlike the idiot who made this meme believes, you don't pay 28% tax on every dollar, just the dollars above $90,750.  So you pay 10% on the first $9225, 15% on $9226-$37,450, 25% on $37,451-$90,751, 28% on $90,751-$189,300.  For shits and giggles let's just go with the 29% like this idiot suggested, from his example we can't even determine how much of that $18.45 is taxed at 10%, 15%, 25%, and 28% because this person is so ignorant of how this whole process works this dumbass can't possible pay ***** taxes!  Which explains why he makes ignorant memes like this.
