Illegal immigrants do bring crime: Of the 61,529 criminal cases initiated by federal prosecutors in 2013, more than 40 percent were filed in court districts neighboring the border. Nearly 22 percent were drug-related, 19.7 percent were violent crimes, and 10.2 percent involved white-collar offenses.

This stats says nothing about crimes committed by illegal aliens.  Border areas have always had high crime tate, but many of the criminals are the United States citizens.  Drugs are smuggled into the United states by US organized crime organizations to sell to US citizens.

Immigrants are killing Americans: According to the Center for Immigration Studies, 57 percent of the 76 fugitive murderers wanted by the FBI in 2009 were foreign-born. The Center also disclosed that in Maricopa County in Arizona, 22 percent of felons are illegal immigrants.

There are more fugitive murders at large because of their ability to flee back to their homeland.  This has nothing to do with actual murder rate.  It has everthing to do with the fact that more illegal immigrants have homes in other countries they can dflee to.

The stat from  Maricopa County is a complete lie.  It is based on incarceration rate instead of actual crime rate.  This was covered in the other article that you posted without reading.

What kind of rube posts material that has already been disproven by another article that he himself posted?

Oh wait, I know what type.  The type that falls for whatever Trump tells them is true.

Illegal immigrants pose a danger on the roads: About 4.5 million illegal aliens in the U.S. drive on a regular basis, many without licenses or insurance or even the ability to read road signs written in English, The New York Times reported. In Arizona, 63 percent of cited drivers have no license, no insurance, and no registration for the vehicle, and 97 percent of them are illegal aliens. Of the 188,380 deportations of illegal aliens in one recent year, 23 percent had committed criminal traffic offenses, primarily driving under the influence. Rep. Steve King of Iowa has estimated that illegal alien drunk drivers kill 13 Americans every day.

They are cited for having no license because the law does not allow them to get a license.

There is no proof that illegal immigrants kill other drivers at any higher rate than US citizens.  So this argument is meaningless.

(07-10-2015, 12:25 PM)SunsetBengal Wrote: 5. Statistics back up Trump's charge that illegals bring drugs: In Pinal County, Ariz., about 70 miles from the Mexican border, Sheriff Paul Babeu said marijuana seizures went from about 19,000 pounds in 2008 to more than 45,500 pounds in 2010. Babeu observed: "The Mexican drug cartels have almost toppled the Mexican government and they are crossing into Arizona at will. Pinal County has seen mass murders, execution-style slayings, sexual assaults, kidnappings, shootings, armed robberies, burglaries, and more — all tied to illegal immigration."

Again no stats to show that all the smuggling is done by illegals.  US organized crime organizations control more of the illegal drug distribution in the United States than Mexican cartels.

There are indeed a lot of Mexicans involved in drug trafficking, but the amount of drugs purchased in the United States is a US problem instead of a Mexico problem.

And finally most of the drug traffic is carried out by people that go back and forth across the border, not the immigrants who come here to work.

For all the squealing about crime committed by illegal immigrants there is no real proof that they commit any more crimes than any similar group of poor and/or minority United States citizens.

Sunset posts a story that goes ballistic over the fact that 1000 minors were sexually assaulted by illegal immigrants over a three year period in Texas (about 300 per year), but fails to mention that in one year there is an average of over 10,000 sexual assaults on minors in the state as a whole.

It is nothing but fear mongering. If you really want to look a fair and balanced look at the numbers go back to the first article Sunset posted a link to. It is hilarious that he posted a link to a study that shows I am right instead of him.

So trump is going to tell American companies they can't build factories in foreign countries?

He knows he can't do that.

He is a complete joke.

He is saying that the United States has been getting it's collective ass kicked, in trade negotiation deals, for years.

And, if that is all that you inferred from that section of his speech, then it is your reasoning, that is the real joke here.

Except Fords decision to put a plant in Mexico had zero to do with any trade deals among the federal governments.  Trump just knows he doesn't have to make any sense as long as he is telling the people what they want to hear.

Seriously, please site the rejected trade deal from the federal government that could have kept Ford from building a plant in Mexico.  Hint.....There isn't one.  Trump just spews garbage while you lick it up and ask for more.

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/donald-trump-admits-gear-made-china-labels/story?id=13472355

Quote:Donald Trump, who has repeatedly accused China of stealing manufacturing jobs from the U.S., acknowledged today that an array of Trump-branded clothes, accessories and other products are made in China.

The real estate and casino mogul, who is considering a run for the Republican presidential nomination, blamed China for the fact that Trump ties, Trump cufflinks and even Trump teddy bears come with a "Made in China" label.

"The answer is very simple: Because of the fact that China so manipulates their currency it makes it almost impossible for American companies to compete," Trump told ABC News.

"You see it with all of the items you are talking about. You also see it with building products. If it continues this way, America won't have any jobs, except for taking care of the elderly."

Asked if he ever looked at having his Trump products manufactured in the U.S., Trump said, "Always do. There are very few companies that do it because they can't compete with the manipulation."

Trump has made the flow of U.S. jobs overseas, especially to China, as much a centerpiece of his exploratory campaign for president as his questions about whether President Obama was born in America, saying, "The problem with our country is that we don't make anything anymore."

Trump hammered at China again Wednesday during a visit to New Hampshire. "China is raping this country," Trump told employees at Wilcox Industries, which makes tactical equipment for U.S. military forces.

"When this country became great was the industrial revolution," said Trump, a Republican. "We are now the opposite of the industrial revolution, and pretty soon we are going to fall off a cliff."

Donald Trump Gear Is Often Made in China
But visitors to the Trump Store in the lobby of the Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in New York City, or to the displays of Trump clothing at Macy's in New York's Herald Square, would be hard-pressed to find much labeled "Made in the U.S.A."

At the same time Trump was speaking in New Hampshire, his Trump Store was contributing to the growth of Chinese manufacturing, arguably at the expense of American workers, selling $80 Trump-branded cotton sweaters and $70 Trump-branded warm-up tops, all made in China. Also available with the made in China tag: golf hats stamped with the Trump crest and stuffed animals.

Visitors also could buy leather made-in-China belts priced at $45 that are advertised as "So soft, it feels like a million bucks." And in the display case were neat stacks of colorful Trump-branded polo shirts that would be perfect wear for one of Trump's golf courses. The shirts, which sell for $70, were not made in China, but nearby, in Korea and Thailand.

Among the few items made in the U.S.A.: Trump chocolate bars, books, teas and Christmas tree ornaments, priced at $15 each.

As first reported by Salon.com, the Trump wear sold in Macy's, part of the Donald J. Trump Signature Collection, is manufactured overseas, including ties in more than 50 different styles and colors (all made in China), suits (made in Mexico and Vietnam), and dress shirts (five styles made in China).

All the Trump tie pins ($22) and tie clips ($28) are labeled as "Made in China," as are the cufflinks ($35 to $45 a pair) and even the boxes containing them.

Quote:Earlier, as his plush Boeing 757 headed from an appearance in Las Vegas to Phoenix, Trump sat in a leather chair, surrounded by binders of articles about him and sipping a Coca-Cola — the full-calorie kind, he noted, because, “Have you ever seen a thin person drinking Diet Coke?”

“Something is happening in America. You may not want to see it, but something big is happening. People are sick and tired of politicians, and I’m here for them,” he said in an interview. “I’m ready to go right at the Mexican government. I’m going to charge them $25,000 per illegal immigrant and, oh, I’ll make them pay.”

(In his Phoenix speech, Trump put the figure at $100,000.)

“Would Bush do that? Would Rubio? I don’t think so,” Trump added, taking aim at two of his more mainstream rivals, Bush and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).
