Politico, giving Trump some props

Are you forgetting that this Country was founded on Us breaking away from Them..  So, you might say that the Us against Them mentality has been around for quite a while.

And, what exactly is wrong with Us (Americans) viewing Them (illegal immigrants) in a negative context?  Every one of them has violated Federal Law, just to get here.  If they have no respect for our Nation's laws at their point of entry, why would I expect them to respect our laws in general society?

Stop accusing me of spreading hate filled lies, about anyone.  Where I come from, falsely calling people liars is a ticket to free dental work..

The studies that YOU have posted have shown that there is no evidence at all to support Trumps lies.  The fact that you keep trying to support and defend these lies makes you a liar.

And where I come from people are not able to punch anyone over the internet.   Smirk  So I am not too concerned about some meat head trying to talk tough.

So it is completely acceptable to just call people liars, accuse them of hate and such?

And furthermore, I would not punch anyone.  I gave up violence quite a number of years back.  Wink

Crossing a border is not an act of violence.  It is perfectly okay to claim they are illegal immigrants.  But how does that justify telling lies about them and accusing them all of being raping, disease-carrying, drug-dealing criminal. The only reason to tell lies like that about them is to incited hatred and violence against them.  It is nothing but racists propaganda.

It is like saying that you like to have sex with little boys just because you drive faster than the speed limit.

Yes.  It is when it is true.

I can't think of any other motivation to spread evil lies about an entire class of people other than hatred to ward them an an attempt to incite violence against them.  If that is not your motive then what is?  I understand that you may diosagree with immigration policies, but that in no way justifies spreading evil hate-filled lies about the individuals.

So, by that logic, you are completely alright with the US footing the bill, on so many fronts, by accepting these illegal immigrants?

Get a clue, fred.  It's time to close the border.

Stop trying to change the subject.

Disagreeing with immigration policy has NOTHING to do with telling lies about the immigrants just to incited hatred and violence against them.

I disagree with a lot of policies that favor the wealthy in this country, but I don't accuse the wealthy of being violent, disease-carrying, rapists.
Trump mocks McCain’s military service: ‘I like people who weren’t captured’

http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/gop-primaries/248424-trump-mocks-mccains-military-service-i-like-people-who-werent

Quote:GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump on Saturday made fun of Sen. John McCain’s (R-Ariz.) military service during a question-and-answer session at the the 2015 Family Leadership Summit in Ames, Iowa.

The New York business mogul taunted McCain’s six years as a prisoner during the Vietnam War.

“He was a war hero because he was captured,” Trump sarcastically told host Frank Luntz during the 2015 Family Leadership Summit. “I like people who weren’t captured.”

The quip came after Luntz challenged Trump over his criticism of McCain’s political career.

The pollster questioned Trump’s verbal attacks given he is a “war hero.”

“I supported McCain for president,” Trump said of McCain’s 2008 GOP presidential campaign.

“He lost and let us down,” Trump said, arguing he had spent $1 million on McCain’s Oval Office bid.

“I’ve never liked him as much after that,” he added. “I don’t like losers.”

Trump was taking issue with McCain’s critique of his July 11 rally against illegal immigration in Phoenix.

McCain argued in an interview published Thursday that the event energized the right wing’s most extreme members.

“It’s very bad,” he said of Trump’s Phoenix rally earlier this month.

“This performance with our friend out in Phoenix is very hurtful,” McCain said.

“Because what he did was he fired up the crazies,” he added. “Now he galvanized them. He’s really got them activated.”

Trump countered Saturday that McCain’s remarks were insulting to the Americans supporting his policies on illegal immigration.

“15,000 people showed up to hear me speak,” Trump said of the Phoenix event, adding that it was “beautiful.”

“He called them all crazy,” he added of McCain. “I know all about crazies, and those weren’t crazies.”

Trump also said he is forcing a national discussion about border security and illegal immigration policies.

“I’m so proud of the fact I got a dialogue started on illegal immigration,” he said. “I’m very happy.”

“I took a lot of abuse,” Trump added of the backlash against his immigration rhetoric. “It turned out I was right.”

Trump sparked international outrage during his 2016 campaign launch last month.

The outspoken billionaire provoked public backlash by harshly criticizing Hispanic immigrants and Mexico on June 16.

“They’re sending people who have a lot of problems,” Trump said during the address at Trump Tower in New York City.

“They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists,” he added. “And some, I assume, are good people.”

Trump argued Saturday that politicians should avoid sensitivity while dealing with issues as important as immigration.

“We’re so politically correct we can’t move people anymore,” he said. “We want results, we don’t want tone.”

Since he hates losers does he hate himself for filing for bankruptcy multiple times? Or for never winning the presidency?

Deferments Helped Trump Dodge Vietnam

http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/celebrity/deferments-helped-trump-dodge-vietnam

Quote:APRIL 28--Despite Donald Trump’s claim this week that he avoided serving in the Vietnam War solely due to a high draft number, Selective Service records show that the purported presidential aspirant actually received a series of student deferments while in college and then topped those off with a medical deferment after graduation that helped spare him from fighting for his country, The Smoking Gun has learned.

During a TV interview Tuesday morning, Trump--who spent his high school years enrolled at the New York Military Academy--said, “I actually got lucky because I had a very high draft number. I’ll never forget, that was an amazing period of time in my life.”

He went on to recall, “I was going to the Wharton School of Finance, and I was watching as they did the draft numbers and I got a very, very high number and those numbers never got up to.” The word “deferment” was not mentioned by Trump during his chat with the morning show hosts on WNYW, the Fox affiliate in New York City.

However, Selective Service records reveal that Trump, the fortunate son of a multimillionaire real estate baron, took repeated steps to avoid serving in Vietnam.

By the time his number (356) was drawn during the December 1, 1969 draft lottery, Trump had already received four student deferments and a medical deferment, according to military records on file with the National Archives and Records Administration. An extract of Trump’s Selective Classification record, seen here, was provided in response to a TSG records request.

In fact, the December 1969 draft lottery occurred about 18 months after Trump graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied business at the Wharton School. So, while claiming that he would “never forget” being at Wharton watching the draft numbers being drawn, the 64-year-old Trump seems to have misremembered, as candidates are fond of saying.

Trump obtained his first two Class 2-S student deferments in June 1964 and December 1965, when he was student at Fordham University in the Bronx. He was briefly reclassified as 1-A--or "available for military service"--in late-November 1966, but that classification was switched back to 2-S three weeks later.

Another 2-S deferment is dated January 16, 1968, just months before his graduation from UPenn (to which he transferred following his sophomore year at Fordham).

Following his UPenn graduation, Trump--no longer qualified for a 2-S deferment--was again briefly classified as available for service on July 9. However, three months later, on October 15, his classification was switched to 1-Y, which was given to men deemed qualified for military service “only in time of national emergency.”

The 1-Y classification came a month after Trump underwent an “Armed Forces Physical Examination,” according to Selective Service records, which note the results of the exam as “DISQ.” While the military records do not further detail why Trump was granted the 1-Y deferment, a 1992 biography of the businessman by journalist Wayne Barrett reported that Trump received a medical deferment following the September 17, 1968 exam.

Trump’s 1-Y classification stayed in effect until February 1, 1972 when it was changed to a 4-F classification (which covered registrants not qualified for military service). The change in classification was likely prompted by the military’s December 1971 decision to abolish the 1-Y classification.

The Selective Service records also include a copy of the registration card signed by Trump in June 1964, 10 days after he turned 18. The possible future Commander-in-Chief, it turns out, has birthmarks on both his heels.

http://onpolitics.usatoday.com/2015/07/23/border-patrol-agents-pull-out-of-trump-event/

Quote:A union of border patrol agents says its members will not accompany Donald Trump on his Thursday tour near the Texas-Mexico border, saying the event has become too politicized.

“Just to be clear, an endorsement was never discussed for any presidential candidate,” said a statement from Hector Garza, president of Local 2455 of the National Border Patrol Council. “Local 2455 does not endorse candidates for any political office.”

In discussing the visit, Trump said that “border patrols” had invited him because of frustrations over the flow of migrants from Mexico.

“They want to do their job,” Trump told Fox News. “They are not allowed to do their job at the border.”

Border officials said they offer tours to any number of candidates and lawmakers.

“Our intentions to meet with Mr. Trump was to provide a ‘Boots on the Ground’ perspective to not only Mr. Trump, but to the media that would be in attendance at this event,” Garza said in his statement.

Now, he said, “it has been decided by Local 2455 to pull out of all events involving Donald Trump.”

Garza also said, “make no mistake, our border with Mexico is not secure and there’s no doubt that we need to have an honest discussion about that with the American people. Local 2455 will continue to represent our members to the best of our abilities and will make sure that our members concerns are heard by the American people.”

The schedule says Trump plans to meet with a variety of law enforcement officials during his trip to Laredo, Texas.

Trump has made illegal immigration the centerpiece of his campaign. His claims that Mexico is sending “criminals” and “rapists” across the border has drawn criticism from immigration groups who say the businessman is anti-Hispanic.

Protesters are expected to greet Trump when his plane lands Thursday in Laredo.

In his Fox interview, Trump predicted that Hispanics would support him because he will seal the border and “bring jobs back to America.”

I know that you were speaking off the cuff, but you may be closer to the truth than you realize.  Every time that Trump seems to put his foot in his mouth, he gets negative pub from the media, criticism from both sides of the political "aisle", yet more and more people attend his campaign functions as he continues to rise in the polls.
