Starting to Think We Go QB Early
Meh, Flacco's best year he ended it with a Lombardi and the SB MVP. Dalton's best year he ended it with a broken thumb.

I'm not ragging on Dalton because I know how this organization puts a ceiling on players, but it's hard to deny the difference between the two QBs.

It is absurd to judge a QB by just 4 games in his entire career.  The fact that Flacco had one good four game stretch 7 years ago is meaningless when talking about which on has more trade value now.

Plus Flacco's first 5 playoff games were just as bad as Daltons first four.

I wasn't speaking so mich about value now as overall.  But let's just admit that we've spent the past 16 years with 2 QBs who apparently could have won multiple SBs if they didn't play here and we have nothing to show for it.

Other franchises can blunder into multiple SB wins with bum QBs and we can't even beat TJ Yates and Mark Sanchez in the playoffs

Bah, there goes my pre draft optimism.

Dude do you even try to validate what you post? 2008 he won his first two playoff games. 2010,11 and 12 he won one PO game each of those years.  How does 3-2 compare to 0-4? I'm going to rename you Fake News Fred.

The Ravens won those games "in spite of" Flacco, not "because of".

Flacco…. 57-120 .... .475% ..... 132.0 ypg ….. 1td …. 6 int ….. 46.5 rating
Dalton... 88-158 ….. .557% ….. 218.3 ypg ….. 1td …. 6 int ….. 57.8 rating

Hey, Cat, who has been the better QB over the last two years, Blake Bortles or Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson?  Show us again good you are at judging the value of QBs.

Neither were amazing when comparing Flacco's first 5 vs. Dalton's 4. I'd argue that Flacco didn't have much to do with those 2008 and 2009 playoff wins given his stats.

Flacco

2009 Playoffs

Game 1: 40 completion percent, 34 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT
Game 2: 57.14 completion percent, 189 yard, 0 TD, 2 INT

Dalton

The only difference is that Flacco had one int in the three wins and Andy had six in his four losses.

You forgot to add in Andy's four fumbles.

He won three games with giving the other team only one turn over while Andy completely stb giving ten turnovers.

The point is Flacco played more or less poorly during his first 5 playoff games and the stats show that.  He wasn't really the difference maker that won them those games. Yes Dalton played poorly as well in his 4 playoff games. I don't think anyone is arguing that.

Flacco won 3 games because his defense forced 12 turnovers and they rushed for 147 yards per game.

In Dalton's four losses his defense forced only 2 turnovers and they rushed for 95 yards per game.

Flacco won against the Patriots when he completed 4 passes for 34 yards.

BTW you never said who the best QB has been over the last two years.  Bortles, Rodgers, or Wilson.  Go ahead an show us how brilliant you are at judging QB talent.

If the QB turns the ball over ten times in four playoff games its not good. If the team has only three wins in the last sixteen against your division rival since 2011 its not good.

Interesting fact.

Since 2011 Flacco has 40% more fumbles than Dalton (53 to 38).

Yeah you forgot to mention that Dalton had five times as many turnovers as the defense got. One touchdown in four games with ten turnovers , yeah Andy is the "great" QB of the age. BTW I don't give a rats*** about any other QB. I guess you are comparing Andy to every other QB to make some obscure ponit

Dalton has won 7 of his last 9 against Flacco.

Andy had four in the POs. What's your point? It's not how many but at what point. Like Andy's fumble in 2015 when he broke his thumb. He can't handle prime time.

I am not comparing Dalton against any other QBs at all.  Instead I am comparing Bortles to Rodgers and Wilson to show how silly it is to claim that playoff wins "trump everything" when it comes to evaluating QB talent.  Bortles has 2 playoff wins over the last two seasons while Rodgers and Wilson have zero.

Same thing I did earlier when comparing Flacco to Dan Marino, and Hostetler and Johnson to other great QBs.

Dalton NEVER EVER won apo game and Flacco has won ten. Again what's your point?

It is "how many" when "how many" determines if you even get into the playoffs.

What happened the last time Dalton and Flacco met in prime time?
