Steelers Game Game Ball
#1
Winner to date (number of game balls):
Oakland: TYLER EIFERT (1) 9 catches, 104 yards, 2 TDs
San Diego: GIO BERNARD (1) 126 rushing yards at 6.2 YPC
Baltimore: ANDY DALTON (.5) 383 Yards, 3 TDs passing, 1 TD rushing, 122.3 passer rating/ AJ GREEN (.5) 10 catches, 227 receiving yards, TDs
Kansas City: ANDY DALTON (1.5) - 321 yards, 1 TD, 127.1 Passer Rating
Seattle: ANDY DALTON (2.5) - 331 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT, 95.9 passer rating
Buffalo: MARVIN JONES (1)- 9 catches, 95 yards, 1 TD

First time in franchise history Bengals start 7-0. You go into Pittsburgh and you can expect and ugly game. WTS there were some that shined. So who get Steeler’s Game Ball:

AJ GREEN
: 11 catches, 118 yards, 1 TD
JEREMY HILL: 15 carries for 60 yards
REGGIE NELSON: 5 tackles, 2 INTs
ADAM JONES: 5 tackles, shut down his side of the field and Antonio Brown
VONTAZE BURFICT: The QB of the D is back. Had to play more snaps than planned when Maul went down
VINNY REY: Team high 8 tackles and 1 PD.
MIKE NUGENT: 10 total points (would have been 13 if Winston could stay still)

Though it could easily be the defense as a whole or Reggie in particular, I say AJ because a lot of those 118 yards came with a high price physically.  They hit the shit out of him on those short passes and he kept coming back for more.

This is a hard game to pick. I actually want to say Jeremy Hill, even though he was tremendously underutilized, he performed the best.

Low scoring game. I'm going to throw some support at Nuge. Should have been 4 for 4 on FG's.

Defense as a whole possible? They really bailed out the offense this game.

They lead off with a big shit bomb but was glad to see they pulled it together. Peerman Burfict and Nelson were great today.

Nelson. The defense played great today, but the 2 INTs is what won the game IMO

Have to Go with Nelson, he played great all day, big reason we only gave up 10 points, and our other safeties also played a great game.

I have to vote for the entire defense.
I have the Heart of a Lion! I also have a massive fine and a lifetime ban from the Pittsburgh Zoo...

Williams. His INT turned the tide.

AJ Green. I would have picked Nelson, but he whiffed big time on a run up the middle by Williams. Pissed me off.

Shawn Williams? He earned his INT. And at a critical time too.

When I die, I will get to shake Mr. Paul Browns hand and hear him say "Damn, you never stopped believing, did you?"

No doubt AJ was the offensive MVP

But the defense won that game and Nelson had 2 picks and both were huge. He also seemed to be in the right place all day today

Adam Jones did shut down Brown for the most part after the first series and played great (all pro level again) today

The Nugent block FG was too low and on him in my opinion

Free Agency ain't over until it is over.

First 6 years BB - 41 wins and 54 losses with 1-1 playoff record with 2 teams Browns and Pats

Nelson takes it for me with AJ a close second. Those were some hard fought yards for AJ. Everyone on that list chipped in though. Hill had some good runs and Burfict looked good. So nice to have him back.
